Good food, good service and relaxing atmosphere

Early dinner on a Monday night - sole guests until we were finishing ou appetizer. Nice and private. Then other couples began arriving. Food was greats, atmosphere was quit and relaxing (just the non-noise level we needed). Service was excellent. So, I would recommend a Monday night visit.

Great food, lousy service. Staff very inexperienced, served starter and main course at the same time, forgot to add desert on the bill etc etc. Having said that, great atmosphere and fantastic food.

Walk through the historic 20-foot high pair of doors into this charming bistro. The server was so accommodating, had a cocktail made up for me to my specifications. Spareribs were so good, I would get the barbecue sauce on the side next time, so it doesn't overpower the meat. Lobster rolls had yummy filling but too much bread. Maybe put... More

I had lamb pops for my appetizer and the prosciutto wrapped quail. My husband had prix fixe with the beet/marscapone soup, true cod and the orange napoleon. The true cod was well-prepared and the sides all went well with the entree. The quail on the other had was served with a potato/onion/gorgonzola layered side. The flavor of the potato concoction... My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to find an excellent restaurant in a historic downtown Salt Lake City building. The place was not too noisy -- something we appreciated as high noise levels can ruin an otherwise pleasant meal. The food and selection were creative and delicious. Everything was very fresh. The wait staff was excellent. I really can't... More

My son and I came here for dinner after reading some nice reviews about it and we were not disappointed. It was a fairly quiet Monday evening with only a few other tables. We started with the prosciutto wrapped quail and the pork belly. Both were very tasty. For our entrees, we had the special of the day which was... More

Martine's is the place to go to for foodies and/or that special occasion. The building itself is unique (e.g. the wine is stored in the old bank vault). The ambiance is old world, European. Be sure to try to Juniper cocktail or standard martini. Three of shared several tapas. My favorite was the quail wrapped in prosciutto. For entrees we... More

This beautiful old building has the perfect ambience for a romantic, sophisticated dining experience. Simple yet elegant décor and an attentive staff makes the food even better. The menu is small with attention to fresh, quality ingredients. It is a pleasure to peruse and select something from the variety of appetizers, salads and entrees. The wine list is adequate and... Great food. Great service. And OMG the sangria. Seriously, it's the best sangria I have ever had. I don't know what was in it, but it was amazing.

Such a lovely restaurant in a 130-something year old building!! The wine cellar is an old bank vault! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The service was exceptional, and they gave us dessert free of charge. The music and atmosphere were so lovely. We are vegetarian and the menu has a lot of meat-based items but they were... More
