Our new favorite restaurant

I live in Park City seasonally, and my boyfriend and I came to Log Haven for my last night in town. The atmosphere is unbeatable, and if you stay past 9pm then you don't have to pay for visiting the canyon. Our waiter, Erik, was amazing - he was extremely helpful, and he took great care of us... read more

Beautiful setting even though it was damp and rainy weather. We stopped there for the Mother's Day dinner and arrived early to get the alleged special dinner if seated before 6:00pm. When we arrived we were told that they were no longer honoring that special on steak and lobster but we ordered it anyway. Disappointed but we didn't let it... More

The place is fantastic, located in a beautiful narrow canyon close to SLC. It looks like a mountain cottage and you expect to eat simple traditional mountain dishes...in reality the menu is made of very complex plates where even good quality fish or meat are covered with plenty of sauces and side ingredients which are kind of ruining the plate.... Up in the hills with very scary bicyclists flying down very narrow roads. One of our party hit an unleashed dog and broke its leg. Owner should have had it leashed in that narrow road. But enough of that. The food? Ridiculous bison filet. Perfectly medium rare with an Andouille sausage gravy. I was afraid that the bison would be... More

Wonderful meal. Can't say enough about the food... It was delicious and the early bird special steak and lobster tail with a salad was a great bargain for the quality of food you are getting. I had the wild mushroom soba (noodles made with tofu) with walnut pesto.. It was superb..we also split the alpine nachos.. They were fantastic as... More

This beautiful venue is such a treat, as is the really special food. We started with cocktails and ate three courses of a really delicious dinner. We chose food that we were unlikely to eat at home in the UK: starters of carpaccio of elk and of fried green tomatoes, followed by buffalo steaks. All the food was really tasty,... More

It's a charming restaurant and I'll always remember the lovely setting, but perhaps not the meal. All of the waitstaff were attentive and professional. I got the fried green tomatoes as my appetizer - it was a nice light batter and quite tasty. My husband's grilled calamari &squid were nicely cooked (not over done, nice and tender) - the seasoning... More

Simply wonderful...could not fault the location, service or the food! We had not heard about this place, so were not sure what to expect...it's a long way into the canyon but it is well worth the drive! Nestled into the hillside, it is like a Hansel and Gretel fairytale setting...simply beautiful location and (particularly in the snow) looks amazing... When... More

Fifteen years ago, my husband and mother-in-law (who was born in Salt Lake) enjoyed a delicious dinner at Log Haven. My husband and I returned to Salt Lake for my mother-in-law's funeral and ended the day with another meal at this lovely restaurant. Although it's been around since 1920, the kitchen produces a contemporary menu. I especially liked the low-calorie... More
