I have been patronizing Log Haven for many years. It is a fantastic destination for an upscale party or date, and I have attended weddings there as well. The service is top notch, and the manager runs the floor very well. I have noticed the food quality is going downhill. I ordered a "Certified Angus" Ribeye steak last night, and... More

What a gem nestled on the side of the mountain! The food was stellar, served to us on the terrace by the waterfall as we listened to our favorite tunes from the piano.

Please take the time on your next trip to SLC to have a meal at the Log Haven Restaurant. The setting is spectacular (in the Wasatch National Park), amidst towering trees, abundant wildlife, natural waterfalls and crisp, clean air. The food was very good, the total experience was near perfect. The menu was dialed-in for the environment, with Bison, fresh... More

From the courteous valet parking attendant to the friendly greeting at the front desk, you know the evening is going to be wonderful. The restaurant is beautifully rustic, extremely comfortable and fits perfectly to the surroundings. The menu is creative, always good and prepared perfectly. My duck dish was one of the best! The service is outstanding, including help with... More

The place is beautiful with an interesting history. We had made reservations, and chose to sit outside. The weather was perfect, late afternoon dining by a waterfall. I had a hard time choosing my meal because I saw so many things I wanted to try. I got seared tuna with asparagus and mushrooms, the tuna was a little bland but... More

We loved the piano music and lighting, it gave this place an elegant yet cozy vibe. The decor and all the windows really make you feel removed from the city. The food was all great, but the chilled pea soup was particularly delicious, and be sure to try the coconut soufflé for dessert - you won't be disappointed!

Log Haven is located about 5 miles past the gate to the Wasatch National Forest in Millcreek Canyon, but the trek to get there is well worth it. The facility was restored in the 1980's and is a magnificent log building (logs from Oregon in the 1920's). A receipt from valet parking pays the park exit fee. The menu is... More

We went during our X mas break. The food was great, service was great but it wasn't excellent. However, certainly not value for money. Given its high price, I thought the food didn't meet our expectations. A lot of what we had was so salty. CONS - The restaurant was RIDICULOUSLY dark we couldn't see our menu and had to... More

attended a family wedding here last Saturday. The venue is quirky, intimate and most certainly unique. Quite stunning set in the hills and trees. Ian and his team did an amazing job looking after our families and made a special and happy day all the better. The food and service was exceptional - particularly as 50 meals were served at... More

Although the arugula salad had a little too much salt, we loved this restaurant. You actually drive into a wilderness area and at first you think you will be having dinner in a campground. It is a restored log cabin and it is a gem. We enjoyed the halibut and the bison. I am glad we drove in the daylight... More
