We loved the piano music and lighting, it gave this place an elegant yet cozy vibe. The decor and all the windows really make you feel removed from the city. The food was all great, but the chilled pea soup was particularly delicious, and be sure to try the coconut soufflé for dessert - you won't be disappointed!

Log Haven is located about 5 miles past the gate to the Wasatch National Forest in Millcreek Canyon, but the trek to get there is well worth it. The facility was restored in the 1980's and is a magnificent log building (logs from Oregon in the 1920's). A receipt from valet parking pays the park exit fee. The menu is... More

We went during our X mas break. The food was great, service was great but it wasn't excellent. However, certainly not value for money. Given its high price, I thought the food didn't meet our expectations. A lot of what we had was so salty. CONS - The restaurant was RIDICULOUSLY dark we couldn't see our menu and had to... More

attended a family wedding here last Saturday. The venue is quirky, intimate and most certainly unique. Quite stunning set in the hills and trees. Ian and his team did an amazing job looking after our families and made a special and happy day all the better. The food and service was exceptional - particularly as 50 meals were served at... More

Although the arugula salad had a little too much salt, we loved this restaurant. You actually drive into a wilderness area and at first you think you will be having dinner in a campground. It is a restored log cabin and it is a gem. We enjoyed the halibut and the bison. I am glad we drove in the daylight... More

There are a number of things we absolutely love about Log Haven in SLC. First, the setting is stunning - right in the middle of the Wasatch's Millcreek Canyon, where the summer evenings are cool and green (unlike the rest of SLC) and the winter nights are pristine and snowy! Second, the service is likely the best we have had... More

Felt like you travelled far since it is located a few miles from the main road deep into the canyon. The salad of butter lettuce with goat cheese dressing was refreshing and the southwestern Caesar is a nice twist. The portion for the ribeye steak was great, well seasoned, moist and cooked right. The lobster was too salty but not... More

We chose Log Haven for a special anniversary dinner. The setting and atmosphere are beautiful. The patio was lovely with a view of the waterfall across the street and the service was really good. We started off with a bottle of wine we brought. We were a little surprised at the $19 corkage fee. Have never seen a corkage fee... More

Log Haven is an incredible restaurant in a mountain setting above Salt Lake City. It was originally built as a summer mansion but has been a 5 star restaurant for many years. There is a set menu for some items but the executive chef changes menu items regularly. The service is excellent and very attentive without being overbearing. We were... More

We had a lovely, lovely experience from stem to stern. The selections offered were appealing, the meals we each chose were perfectly prepared: fresh, tasty food, authentic fare, not overly elaborate. Our server was welcoming and gracious. Our drinks from the bar, two Perfect Manhattan's were in fact perfectly prepared. I would go again in a heartbeat!
