Gorgeous setting, very good food

This is a bit of a drive from SLC, and not one we like to make when roads are icy, but the drive up the canyon is lovely in good weather and this is such a gorgeous setting for a restaurant, with the waterfall across the street. The building is beautiful with lots of exposed wood. The menu... read more

If you are looking for a romantic getaway, this is a lovely option! Request the waterfall view, it is gorgeous. There is a corner seat that is very nice. The atmosphere is amazing. The service was great. Erik, our server, was very knowledgable and an exceptional server. I had the Bison steak, medium rate. It was amazing to say the... More

This restaurant is set back in the woods and the road getting there is windy and needs some repair, so just be careful if you're leaving after dark. The restaurant is cute, and fits the rustic look around it. You'll probably have to park on the street, then you walk up some steps and enter. There is a book case... More

When you drive to Log Haven you at first think you missed a turn. You pass thru the entrance gate to Millcreek Park and then go quite a ways before arriving at their beautiful log building. Very convenient valet parking leaves you a few dozen steps from the front door. The dining is both indoor in beautiful and spacious rooms... More

As it should be: we were greeted professionally, escorted to the fireplace and offered a refreshment. Our waiter was excellent. The pacing was good and wine offerings were on target- not trying to drive up the bill or offer the lowers $ wine on the menu. Started with the Alpine Nachos, recommended. We had a variety of different dishes on... More

Best food I've had during my week long visit to SLC. I had the delicious scallop dish with pumpkin seeds, tomato and risotto. OMG. Great wine list and the outdoor patio is adjacent to a lovely waterfall. The butterscotch dessert is phenomenal! Device was impeccable and the drive to the restaurant was visually stunning.

We found Log Haven by looking on Trip Advisor and we are absolutely delighted. We made reservations on www.opentable.com. We drove up Mill Creek Canyon, which is beautiful. The restaurant is historic and lovely. We were sat at a corner table with a view of the fall and we could see the ducks in the pond. It was so nice... More

Beautiful setting even though it was damp and rainy weather. We stopped there for the Mother's Day dinner and arrived early to get the alleged special dinner if seated before 6:00pm. When we arrived we were told that they were no longer honoring that special on steak and lobster but we ordered it anyway. Disappointed but we didn't let it... More

I live in Park City seasonally, and my boyfriend and I came to Log Haven for my last night in town. The atmosphere is unbeatable, and if you stay past 9pm then you don't have to pay for visiting the canyon. Our waiter, Erik, was amazing - he was extremely helpful, and he took great care of us throughout the... More

The place is fantastic, located in a beautiful narrow canyon close to SLC. It looks like a mountain cottage and you expect to eat simple traditional mountain dishes...in reality the menu is made of very complex plates where even good quality fish or meat are covered with plenty of sauces and side ingredients which are kind of ruining the plate....
