Stuck in SLC on a Sunday afternoon like we were? Not much choice for dinner (and not much choice generally)! We went to the Blue Iguana, which opens at 4pm, and we did not regret it. Chips and salsa are put on the table without you having to ask, and the beer is served almost as quickly. We had... read more

It was Sunday, I was in "downtown" SLC, had hours to kill before a redeye, why not grab dinner at the Blue Iguana? Food was great, service was excellent, they were open on Sunday, and I was even able to order plenty of veggie-friendly options! Red Iguana may be known as the better half of this iguana-divorce, but the Blue... More

Great value! and great food. I love the vegetarian chimichangas and they have great mole. There was a couple walking around playing a guitar and singing mexican music. Super fun and authentic.

Very authentic, no frills Mexican. At first we were a little taken back by how simple everything seemed, but the more the food came out, the more blown away we were by the quality of the meal. Thank goodness I asked about the Mole dishes, as they certainly highlight the menu. The manager JC Martinez brought us a mole sampler,... More

I went here with a group of coworkers while on work travel. The atmosphere was great. Lots of energy, great service and good food. Many options for vegetarians. Our waitress was awesome, very friendly and checked on us often. Our meals came out very fast. There was lots to choose from on the menu. I was with a group of... More

THis was an excellent choice for a meal after work, the chili on the burrito was awesome, good drinks, cold good beers. It was in a great part of downtown, would for sure head back if we come back to town.

A great place to eat Mexican food without the typical audio sounds screaming down upon you. Festively decorated with taste and color. Comfortable and relaxing with easy American tunes playing overhead. Great sauce-a and delicious main trays made to your liking. Fairly priced for a downtown location. A fun place to visit and enjoy while in Salt Lake. An easy... More

I've been reading the reviews for this restaurant and I have to say - WHAAAA. I am originally from California and have lived in SLC for 13+ years. I know good Mexican food. This is good. The staff is always friendly and nice. The food and drinks are consistently good. I think the whiners are just that, whiners. It's a... More

My mother, sister and I really enjoyed the meal here. The margaritas were very tasty and the guacamole was superb. The really nice thing is they have an extensive vegetarian menu. I had a veggie chimichanga filled with carrots, potatos, squash, and others stuff. It was covered in red sauce and melted cheese. It was so good! The decor is... More

Was hoping for a good meal after reading reviews and seeing how busy it was on other nights but was very disappointed. Good start with the free nachos and the friendly waiter but downhill after that. Had the mini tacos to start which were more like nachos than anything. Hard she'll but burnt and no filling to speak of. Went... More
