When in Salt Lake City in June 2014 my wife and I decided to have dinner at a nice restaurant downtown. We had been visiting Temple Square and found The Roof Restaurant to be a wonderful choice to enjoy the evening! We were seated at a table overlooking the LDS Salt Lake temple while the evening was coming on and... More

Arrived late for lunch thinking we would not compete with the crowd but found servers changing shift and not attentive. Food did not arrive timely or at high quality--think the shift of the chef may have also been an issue. Beautiful view with great atmosphere but can also see this from other view points--decide where you want a view or... More

The best in town. Buffet style food, much more than you can ever eat in one meal. Everything is delish! Live piano, no alcohol, and fabulous service. Book a reservation though, it can be tough to get tables sometimes.

We went for the buffet in early May and requested window/view seating for our anniversary with OT. Great view of the temple with sunset behind it. Very good buffet selection and service. Make sure you leave room for the desserts that are topnotch. Live piano music all evening. Free parking in the garage below.

It's really nice food is really good and the view is awesome the environment is great, the music, the staff. I really liked it. The only bad this is the space. It's small. But ts worth the visit.

We made our reservations through Open Table...first time we'd used it and it worked great. We knew the cost of the buffet prior to making arrangements, and since we were celebrating, we wanted to make this dinner not just a meal but a memorable event. The food was very good and perfect for our family's special occasion. The waiter took... More

We booked through Open Tablea month before we went. On request we asked for a seat with a good view at the window as we were travelling from Australia and it was our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival our reservation was all set, and we got a great window seat with the most beautiful views. The atmosphere isn't really for small... More

Reservations: Made through Open Table, and worked well. Please note: you must give them a credit card to hold the reservation. Seating; Had to call to request a table at the window, but got one, and it was well worth it. (See View, below) Ambience/View: Makes the place. Floor to ceiling windows, incredible view of the mountains, the Temple, and... More

Let's get real people.... 1) It's a buffet so the price range is $40. 2) This is a restaurant owned by the LDS church in a building owned by the LDS church. They are not going to serve alcohol. You should know that when you walk into the building. 3) Yes, it is over priced but it is worth it... More
