Many hotel restaurants seem to fall short of the excellence of some stand alone places. The Bambara, hotel owned in the Monaco (Kimpton hotel) is an exception, thanks to the chef's sourcing of local and fresh ingredients and using great imagination and talent to present the dishes. We were only able to eat there for breakfast and lunch, due to... More

The restaurant is modern with clean lines. The food was excellent! It was good for a romantic date or watch the crowds mingle!

Superb downtown location; understated but elegant decor, prompt, professional service. Great for business lunch or dinner or intimate dining for 2. I had a light meal; fried calamari and a house greens salad. Both were excellent! The fried calamari were crispy and moist, but not at all greasy. The dippy sauce was delicious. The house greens salad came with a... More

Bambara was suggested to myself and a couple coworkers by our hotel staff. It was a good suggestion! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. It was a little bit pricey but worth the cost. I had the pork tenderloin and it was excellent. I also had a wedge salad that I was not quite as impressed... More

Meals here are expensive but worth it. Very unique and flavorful. This is a great place if you consider yourself a foodie to try unique flavors blended together. However you will pay for the experience but worth it for special occasions. If you call ahead with your special occasion you will get a menu that mentions your occasion.

The local red trout, filleted and wrapped in prosciutto was remarkable. Crispy on the outside, flavorful and tender inside with a reddish flesh. Very good service. Nice atmosphere. Go.

Great atmosphere and innovative menu. Loved my lamp and fresh tomato salad. My friends had scallops and loved them. Lots of interesting choices to pick from. Service was a bit spotty...server heard half of what was said.

Bambara has great food - there is no doubt about that, and they have a great atmosphere. What i really need to call out specifically is that they have one of the best Eggs and Bacon breakfasts I've had, and that's my breakfast of choice for morning meal. They have amazing toast, great eggs, this wonderful spread that is somewhere... More

We dined at Bambara for breakfast because we were staying at the hotel. The ambience is very nice however the food and service were sub par. 2 of our 4 orders had mistakes and the server was very flippant about it, not only that brought us the wrong check at the end of the meal. He acted very bothered when... More

We've had some great meals at the Kimpton restaurants before. This wasn't one of them. A late breakfast with delayed staging and mediocre pastries simply fills the belly without feeding the soul.
