Surprised by incense

Completely authentic. Choices at lunch included a buffet or menu ordering. I selected the buffet, and was able to have a wide range of traditional masala, curry, madras, vindaloo dishes, naan, tandoori chicken, and several different chutneys. There were some items new to me, which were delicious... read more

I love Indian food, especially buffets. Really. I have eaten at dozens of Indian and middle Eastern joints in the US, Mexico and France and while I am an optimistic guy, some do fall short. I ate at Saffron Valley (SV) twice within a week, first passing through Southbound to AZ, then again headed home Northbound. I ate at Indian... More

A truly authentic wonderful Indian restaurant. Their lunch buffet is sensational and varies frequently.

Go there if you want to eat truly indian. Large room with many seats, abundant portions, good quality of food. Free parking right next to the restaurant.

We went there for the lunch buffet. Everything looked spic and span in the beginning. good location, good setup etc. Then came the food. Almost every dish was bland including the sambar.idly was hard and naan and the spicy chicken were cold and stale. some of dishes had salted over (potato bonda, bhindi etc). Dont know why the manchurian and... More

I have eaten at the lunch buffet several times over the years. It has a great selection that has served different dishes each time. There is a great variety and you find many south Indian foods not commonly found in other Indian buffets. Highly recommend.

Went there for a Sunday lunch buffet. The selection wasn't great, food was cold and now idea what happened to a cook because he salted all the food like it was his last chance to do so.

The restaurant i wish to be in when i come to Salt lake city. Though the food is not much spicy, guess it is tuned for our american friends. But the taste is good and feels like i am in Chennai. Don't miss the unlimited dosa's on Wednesdays ( I guess, not too sure )

Food was very good, service was good and decent enough place. Just don't try and go on a Monday or past 9pm. We enjoyed our visit to Saffron Valley and will go back.
