This is a light to heavy snack bar with generous ;portions and decent quality offerings. Right on the Temple fountain area. Could be a high priced tourist ripoff, but no, this place gives you your money's worth. It is tasty and good. Self refills on pop so you won't leave thirsty, no matter how hot it may be outside.

The food is good, and easily accessible if you are sightseeing on Temple Square. It is located off the magnificent lobby of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (old Hotel Utah). It is cafeteria style with fresh, good food and food can be eaten inside, at tables outside off Temple Square, or to go.

Nauvoo cafe is a must eat restaurant, especially when visiting Temple Square. It's in a great location! My favorite is their 1/2 soup 1/2 sandwich combo. My favorite time to go is during the winter after walking through the the lit up Temple Square grounds - they have the best hot chocolate!

I did an internship on Temple Square and loved this little cafe, couldn't have functioned without it. I recommend their breakfast omelets and the cookies. OH the cookies! Delicious big things for not a bad price. You'll especially want to stop by in the winter for some of their hot chocolate. Writing this is making me hungry.

The food here was fantastic. I don't like bread pudding but would go again for the raspberry one they had. The mint brownie was wonderful, and the chocolate chip cookies melt in your mouth. One of our party had the turkey pot pie - she couldn't believe the size of the turkey chunks in it. The tomato soup was great... More

We were in Salt Lake City doing some family history research. This restaurant is located in a perfect location. Not far from the history center and close to some major retailers in case you want to do some shopping. It's a cafeteria-style experience with congenial wait staff. We each had the 1/2 sandwich and soup of the day. It was... More

Ate here for lunch while on a conference in Salt Lake City. Close to Temple Square. Cafeteria style.....go through line with a tray and order and move down the line to pay. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and potato/cabbage soup and it was perfect. The sandwich was the best chicken salad I have had in a restaurant. The bread... More

We love eating here at lunchtime whenever we visit SL. It's not as fast as other places, & I avoid busy periods - but it's also not the poor quality of fast food either, it's yummy and fresh and a great view from the windows is a plus!

We lived in SLC 44 years ago and the Joseph Smith Center was the Hotel Utah at that time. The Nauvoo captures all the elegance of those days and serves a very good turkey pot pie. We will return.

We were looking for a quick and reasonably priced lunch spot in SLC. The line was a bit slow (at 1:00 pm on a Saturday) and the food was good, but nothing exotic or pushing the envelope. It satisfied our needs, but I wouldn't back a special point to go back.
