Best dinner in Utah

By far my favorite place to eat in Down town Salt Lake City. I love the gnocchi and the hummus, but anything the chef creates is delicious.

I have been to the Tin Angel in the past for both lunch and dinner. We went for lunch to celebrate a colleague's new job at my suggestion. The sandwiches were all pretty thin in terms of meat. My salad - while tasty - was also pretty darn small. It is a nice place and the food is good but... More

During an extended trip to Utah and Colorado, my wife and I spent four nights in Salt Lake City and carefully selected a different restaurant for each evening. (One criterion: a good wine list; this required checking in advance, since a number of SLC restaurants don't serve alcohol.) Our first restaurant was the Tin Angel Cafe, and we found it... More

Had an excellent dinner, starting with tapas, a side salad and then the daily special, Pacific Salmon with Truffels, Asparagus and Pasta. Also excellent Nero D'Avola wine. To only downside was staff really beyond their limits, as the restaurant was packed.

We had a good lunch at the Tin Angel. We tried the house soup which is a spinach and fontina cheese soup which was good but didn't taste very much like spinach. We also tried the Cuban panini with a side salad. The sandwich was very tasty but I wouldn't call it an authentic "Cubano". No complaints but I wasn't... More

I couldn't agree more when I read the tag line at the bottom of the receipt: "bringing heavenly food down to earth". A great date with my bride

I was looking for comfortable outdoor dining and this was the perfect place. They have indoor seating too, but appreciated being able to enjoy the beautiful evening. Great selection of tapas, small plates, and entrees. I enjoyed beef and shrimp tapas and calamari small plate. Couldn't resist the hazelnut torte for dessert to top it off.

Seeking someplace a bit special for our anniversary, we thought of The Tin Angel due to all the good press it receives and for its favorable location for access and parking. What an eclectic place! What an eclectic menu! What eclectic servers! None of the furniture nor dinnerware seem to match, but everything seemed perfectly clean. Our server, the lovely... More

Our staff was in SLC for a Convention and we followed the advice of our "foodie". Trout was outstanding. I had 3 "small plates" and was 3 for 3. Cannot wait to see what this place will grow in to!

Went there for tapas with three friends, and got over fed. I wish there were a place like this near my house-- the ambience and menu are a nice blend of familiar and novel. Drinks were also a treat. The server was delightful to visit with.
