For 25 years when I've come to SLC I've driven past The Tin Angel Cafe at this off-ramp and never noticed it. Staying downtown for a conference, a friend recommended it. I called to check on their gluten-free menu, which is "pretty much everything we have can be made gluten-free". Hooray! Made a reservation and walked the half mile. They... More

As we were walking over we weren't sure we had the right address but it's a gem. We had drinks, tapas, salad, dinner and dessert. All were great! Would definitely recommend.

We tried this place as it was recommended by the hotel and was round the corner. We were not disappointed. We managed to get a table on spec and the whole family had tapas which was really nice. All the other food coming out of what looks like a tiny kitchen also looked great. Excellent service. In all a very... More

A really enjoyable place, with excellent food choices, interesting surroundings, enthusiastic staff. Some of the food is predictable standard type dishes, but usually with some innovative and tasty variation. They stress fresh, local and healthy, but are not fanatics who disregard flavor. Their local breads are superb! Our visit was at lunch time, but we checked their dinner menu as... More

This had been such a fave place but tonight was a disappointment. Our server had a really odd and awkward vibe and slovenly appearance. She wasn't attentive to anything other than the fact we were eating very lightly and seemed disapproving we weren't eating more. The hostess was super pleasant but the food was both bland and also overdone. Enough... More

Hit up this restaurant after reading the TripAdvisor reviews and it did not disappoint. I got there early, shortly after opening time, so parking was not an issue. My waitress was very sweet and attentive. It was my first time in SLC and she gave me the heads up that most restaurants are closed on Sunday. Too bad bc I... More

The tin angel was recommeneed By our hotel. Loved every aspect of it. The people were so friendly, loved the atmosphere, had difficulty deciding what to have from the menu, in the end had the Lamb strips which were divine and bread and butter pudding.

Actually recall the 70's bar that was the namesake. My wife and I were visiting SLC and came across The Tin Angel. Not in the best of neighborhoods, but the menu, food prep, flavors, and service were fantastic. Highly recommended especially the tapas and small plates!

The restaurant use organic ingredients for all plates. I had a couple of occasion with group meeting there. They are very good serving balanced meal and delicious desserts.
