The French bread with pesto/olive gave it away...

We had a lovely meal looking out over a small English walled garden - halibut and crab cakes. The asparagus was fresh and sweet, the crab cakes were the best I've had (and I'm not a fan usually), and the halibut was flaky with a nice crust and perfect sauce. If you're looking for careful... read more

Our hotel gave us the name of this restaurant along with several others, we chose for convenience in that it was an easy walk to get there after driving all day. We ordered a bruschetta for starters, which along with the fresh warm bread with pesto, then the salad, was not really needed, the seafood pot was tasty, but extremely... More

Pt. Angeles is a sleepy town on Washington's Olympic Peninsula, just across the strait from Victoria BC. We were there three days for business, and tried three "recommended" restaurants for dinner. Cafe Garden turned out to be the best of the lot. The chef made truly amazing cioppino (fish stew), perfectly seasoned and presented for my colleague. My halibut was... More

Had a wonderful dinner with great service and presentation. Every Christmas we receive s gift certificate and we always put off using it for some reason because the food is very good and the service is great. If you want a really nice dinner don't hesitate to go here, the food is a little fancy but very good, not sure... More

Food is very good with a friendly staff. They know how to care for their customers. We have been eating here for years. Prices are moderate to high, especially for the dinner menu. They do have an early bird dinner menu with more reasonable prices. Great atmosphere with a garden view. Breakfasts are excellent with long-time waitresses who've worked there... More

We really enjoyed our breakfast and they accommodated my gluten free requirements. Loved our server. Coffee needs some help, though.

It truly depends what you are looking for in food; the Cafe Garde is a nice restaurant, with friendly staff and has a good selection of food. (We tried both breakfast and dinner here on two separate occasions) however, the meals sounded better on the menu than how it was served. The portions are generous, but the food is very... More
