Great find

Everyone in my party really enjoyed this restaurant- from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food, to the bartender. The music was great as well. The restaurant is downstairs in an old building. It reminded me of an old wine cellar. The bartender was very helpful in selecting a wine for us. We... read more

Michael's is reasonably well regarded by locals, and was recommended by our hotel staff, so we may have just had a bad night. The atmosphere is charming. The wine list is very good, featuring local wines, but no one wants to offer any help selecting them. Our waitress confessed that she didn't know the wines, and the person with knowledge... More

We have dined here once a year for the past two years and have always enjoyed a fine meal and service. This time my husband's food was cold; we waited a long time, etc. We are willing to try it again due to our previous two good experiences. The chef and staff were out of sync this third time.

We were referred here for seafood. It is downstairs in an old building but has some atmosphere. I felt the actual seafood offerings were limited. I had the salmon special which was good but needed more veggies and a starch. The chowder offered plenty of clams. The server was attentive and patient. I was disappointrd at being on the water... We had the paella for two. It was loaded with local seafood. Wine was a dollar off for happy hour. Nice selection of cocktails.

Stopped at this restaurant Monday evening.....almost 9 pm. Randomly selected as few places were open at that hour. Waitress was friendly, helpful and efficient. We had an excellent meal of pizza, baked oysters and each had a bowl of clam chowder. Best food - all of it. Very filling chowder - a meal itself. Husband had pizza and said it... More

We had a mixed experience. My wife had a seafood sampler plate and was pleased. I had fried oysters and four of the six were inedible. The seafood sauce for dipping was very good, loaded with horseradish. Roasted asparagus was beyond excellent, tender and flavorful.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for our anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed. We were seated in the back area (away from the bar) which seems to be an overflow area. I would have liked to sit in the main part of the restaurant but we had not made reservations and as a result, we were unable... More
