Wonderful service and food

I've known Michael Lynch (the proprietor) for years and I have to say that I don't think I've ever had a bad meal there. Matched with any of his special cocktails (one of the best mixologist anywhere) you are in for a special treat. My wife and I celebrated our 26th anniversary there and as... read more

We went to Michaels due to the great reviews, but... Over breaded oysters, tasteless crab cakes, slightly bitter asparagus, and oysters shoots drowned in bloody Mary mix. The ingredients were clearly not particularly fresh and/or not top quality - no excuse given the location! The creme brulé took so long we started making jokes about waiting for the hen to... More

Walking in off the street, we didn't know what to expect. The entrance is a bit dark and the building quite old, which made this all the more fun to explore and be blown away by the food, service, value of meal and the wine list! OH MY. You walk down a flight of stairs and immediately realize this is... More

The ambiance is really fun -- located downstairs with a great bar area, comfy booths and additional dining room in the back. Really enjoyed Happy Hour food and prices on Saturday. Also tried their special Sunday dinner menu.

Had a quiet dinner with no pressure to eat fast. Very good service and food. Would have preferred the back of the restaurant because there were windows. The area we sat in was dark and windowless. Good job of converting a basement into dinning area.

A classy traditional restaurant with both Italian and a good selection of meat dishes, including a very tasty roast duck breast. Also a great selection of good wines and liquors. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere is calming and casually elegant. This restaurant may be rated low because it doesn’t have what one might call a “cool feature” (gimic), and/or... More

We made it for happy hour, then remained for dinner. We shared the paella for two, added the crab too. It was fantastic! We were too stuffed for dessert. The drinks, service and food was all great. It's located in a greT location on First St. Really nice, we will be back the next time we're in Port Angeles.

I had heard about how delicious fresh caught Pacific Salmon would be. I was surprised when the menu said Black Mouth Salmon so I asked our server. She checked with the chef and returned saying that Black Mouth Salmon were "adolescent" Salmon meaning they were young and tender rather than larger or older Salmon that would be "thicker" and less... We were visiting Port Angeles for the first time and had read an article in Sunset Magazine listing Michael's as a wonderful place to eat. As the manager of our hotel said the same, what could we do. We were not disappointed - loved the ambiance of the restaurant, our server, Kylee, was a delight AND the meal was amazing.... More
