Nice Dinner spot in downtown Port Angeles

This was the second time my wife and I had dinner at Michaels and found it to be consistent with our first visit over a year ago. Ambiance: 5 stars. This restaurant is located in a basement setting with really unique wood décor. The restaurant is reasonably quiet, comfortable and clean. Service... read more

Kids eat free on Sundays! We were shocked at the bill :) The service was quick and courteous. The prices in general are on the higher side.

We didn't have reservations. We were hot and a wee bit cranky and to our dismay most restaurants in Port Angeles seem to close at 8 pm! Not Michael's, thank goodness. It is located in the basement of an old building. We enjoyed the food and ate far too much. Food presented well, very tasty, great portions. Perhaps a bit... More

Eclectic decor, located in the basement of an old building. We started our meal with a heavenly baked Brie appetizer. It was amazing. I had the seafood sampler, hubs had beef stroganoff. Both were delicious. The apple pie was enough to share. Wide assortment of drinks. We really enjoyed our dinner but thought it was overpriced for the area.

This place is tucked away in the basement and the ambiance feels like you are going back in time. The steak and salmon were fantastic and our server took great care of us! The prices were about what you would expect for a decent steak house, but we felt the quality met the price.

Michael's is reasonably well regarded by locals, and was recommended by our hotel staff, so we may have just had a bad night. The atmosphere is charming. The wine list is very good, featuring local wines, but no one wants to offer any help selecting them. Our waitress confessed that she didn't know the wines, and the person with knowledge... More

We have dined here once a year for the past two years and have always enjoyed a fine meal and service. This time my husband's food was cold; we waited a long time, etc. We are willing to try it again due to our previous two good experiences. The chef and staff were out of sync this third time.

Everyone in my party really enjoyed this restaurant- from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food, to the bartender. The music was great as well. The restaurant is downstairs in an old building. It reminded me of an old wine cellar. The bartender was very helpful in selecting a wine for us. We had the baked oysters and clams... More

We were referred here for seafood. It is downstairs in an old building but has some atmosphere. I felt the actual seafood offerings were limited. I had the salmon special which was good but needed more veggies and a starch. The chowder offered plenty of clams. The server was attentive and patient. I was disappointrd at being on the water...
