Surprising Excellent Sea Food in Port Angeles

Kokopelli Grill is in a small town not exactly renowned for its culinary excellence, but this place a shockingly good, in no small part because its menu depends on absolutely fresh seafood, and the staff know what to do with it. Extremely inattentive service on Friday 15, 2015.... I have never walked out of a restaurant before, so this was a first! Seated and just a few patrons surrounding us, but waited 15 minutes attempting to get a waitress's attention before up and leaving. It was a shame as it was a birthday celebration for the two of us. We were... More

We found this restaurant by accident while waiting for the Coho ferry to Victoria and what a find. Our lunch was fantastic and their wine selection was wonderful. We enjoyed a Chardonnay recommended by the hostess. We live on Vancouver Island and I would consider taking the ferry as a walk-on just to go this restaurant.

The food was amazing and our waiter was very attentive and helpful. We will definitely eat here again next time we are in Port Angeles.

This place turned our expectations of Port Angeles upside down . . . it is wonderful by any culinary measure. With several days of travel in this PacNW area already behind us, we had grown familiar with, at best, middle-of-the road dining. We were ready for any change from the usual, and Kokopelli Grill with its promise of Southwestern flavors... More

This restaurant is close to the downtown hotels, and has a really good menu. The food was excellent, although far too much for a small appetite, so next time (and we will go again) we'll see about sharing a meal between the two of us.

I stopped in Port Angeles because I was tired and hungry. I wanted seafood so I stopped at two other restaurants but just didn't like how they looked and the menus didn't appeal to me. Just my chance I walked into the Kokopelli Grill and had an epiphany! It was prom night and the place was packed with young people... More

My husband's dinner was better than mine. He had mussels and crab cakes. I had pasta primavera. There was way too much pasta and not enough sauce. There was enough to feed a family of four. When will restaurants learn to offer smaller portions for the lighter eater?

This definitely was one of the best restaurants we have been in, on our trip through Washington. Very kind and helpful staff and delicious food at reasonable prices. There is a large variety of home made dishes. Finally not a place where you can only eat steak, or salmon.Take a table- upstairs, so you have a view on the port.... More
