I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. It was horrible. Pork ribs were burnt and dry. Brisket was just a crappy pot roast with no flavor. Won't go to again. See pictures below.

If you're looking for excellent BBQ and sides, this is the place to go. The food is wonderful, and the service is great.

Place looks like very appealing from the main 101 road. Wanted to try the local. Service was very good. Wife's ribs needed more flavor,,,maybe undercooked a little bit. My brisket was pretty good,,maybe a little too fatty. The sides were ok,,unique. Definitely a different taste for me,,being from Texas with much experience on BBQ. But, adequate.

@ Hobo Todd from Seattle, and anyone else who thinks that BBQ should be "fall off the bone tender": You're an idiot. they shouldn't be "tough" either, but good BBQ ribs being "fall-off-the-bone-tender" is a myth that is held to by jerk-offs who get their notions from other jerk-offs or from Applebee's of what BBQ is supposed to be. so... We had the large brisket meal to share. Most of the meat portion was fat. The rolls were great. The beans were okay. We were passing through to Salt Creek Rec Area to camp. We ate here another time a few years ago & remembered better food.

We only get ribs here - take-out and eat at home. They are expensive, but sooooo good, From other reviews, it seems like the best thing to do is get only the ribs,

Supposedly a highly regard local Texas-style BBQ place, self-service from the orders counter. They have moderately priced complete meal orders that include your choice of BBQ meats, soda/water, baked beans, cornbread, etc. I had the baby-back ribs and my wife has the blue-cheese rub pork ribs, we both thought the BBQ meats were not that tasty, average at best. Not... More

We have been going to Blue Flame for the last 8 years. The original owner retired and the new owners took over. We went shortly after the transfer and the food was as good as ever. We no longer go out as often, but decided to go for our 14th anniversary on 8/21/13. Highly disappointed. Prices were up, as one... More

I'll preface this by saying that I had the bbq brisket, and it was good. However, am I angry that the sides I was served for $15 was two leaves of lettuce with blue cheese, and two tiny roasted potatoes? Yes. Was the meal worth the money? Hell no. The best part of the meal was actually the marionberry barbeque... More

This is great BBQ. Not fancy, paper plates and plastic forks etc. Go early. They can run out of meats and side dishes. Dry rub ribs with optional sauces available. Very good BBQ beans. .
