Try their La Mejor which has a beef burrito, guacamole salad and a chile relleno. This is really a great dish! Please try it! I have been dining at the other locations of El Sombrero for years, but have found that the food and atmosphere is better at this Forsyth Rd location! The only problem with this location, is that... I ate here tonight on the recommendation of the front desk clerk at the hotel. Wasn't impressed with the interior. Salsa was good. It was a little spicy. It was just your average Mexican food. Nothing special.

Clearly my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Macon. The food is great, love the nachos and sauce. The sauce is a little bit more than mild but not too hot. Love it.

My family and I were traveling through from Florida back home to Louisville, Ky. We went out of our way to eat here as a few reviews suggested best in Georgia. Uhm if this is the best.... Anyway it was ok. I was impressed that they had my favorite burrito de la roqueta. I got two burritos, but very little... More

Visit the El Sombrero off Forsyth in the Kroger Shopping Center and try the Salad with the grilled chicken, shrimp & steak, you'll not regret it. The fresh avocado, the black olives, onion, and just the right amount of cheese combine for a flavor that makes you say, "Ahh, I like this, and I'll be back for more!" Have a... More

Great food but the soup is my favorite. It has avocado, tomato, onions, rice, chicken with a little melted cheese on top. Make sure you get a squeeze of lime in it!

Went here based on TA reviews. This restaurant provides very average food and below average service in an atmosphere of below average cleanliness. I'll start with the positive. The salsa was excellent. I could drink the stuff. The sangria was good, (onto the negative) but I cut my lip on the broken rim of the glass. (This was remedied with... More

We had a large party and service was great. I had carnitas and it was some of the best I've ever had; a unique flavor that I think maybe used some sort of cola for marinating or braising. The best was their chunky guacamole, it wasn't made tableside but it was so fresh and flavorful. Even the picky eaters in... More

Great Mexican food with efficient service and prices that are easy on the wallet. The tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, soups, and salads are great. Lots of tasty food, cooked to order. You really can't beat El Sombrero for an easy dinner out.

The food here is good but service is leaves much to be desired. Tried to explain to waiter about making special request on my dinner but didn't seem to understand. After his 3rd attempt to fix my food, I just took whatever he brought me..
