I had higher hopes based on the reviews but you can't always rely on other reviews. Our experience was okay but could've been better. We were seated at the darkest table in the restaurant. I had to use my phone flashlight to read the menu. The waitress was okay but couldn't answer a simple wine question. The ribeye I got... More

We went to Downtown Grill for my wife's Birthday and had an excellent meal. The wait staff did a great job making her birthday a memorable experience. The owner fulfilled a special request which made her night and meal perfect. We both enjoyed the steak which was cooked to perfection. The Downtown Grill has always been our "go to" for... More

We were going to a concert at the Municipal Auditorium and found that this great establishment was within walking distance. We didn't have reservations and were happy to be able to get in! I didn't love walking through the cigar smoke in the bar, but loved the back room where we were seated. We had a cozy corner both with... More

Let me start by saying this has been our Favorite restaurant for 3 years. We celebrate every anniversary and special occasion here. Food has always been top notch. Tonight we went for our anniversary again. Started with the "FRESH" tuna ahi that had obviously been frozen. The taste was very sub standard. My wife had the lamb chops with spinach.... More

First of all, thanks for being a loyal customer for the last three years. I'm sorry that you had a less than stellar dining experience with us on this visit. As you well know this is not our norm. I wish that you had given us the opportunity to correct the dissatisfactions that you had with your meal while you... More

In a million years I wouldn't have expected to find this place in Macon, GA - but there it is... to call it a Steak-House is to undersell it. The menu is rather eclectic and the waitstaff are, to say the least, enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and proud of the food. The atmosphere is rich and inviting and the wine selection... More

One of the more upscale eateries in Macon. Were there for our anniversary. Amazing bar list. I think the best steaks in town. The bar allows cigars so be aware. The wife had the ribeye. This time a bit tough. I had the scallops. Just right. Side of wonderful cheese grits. Yes! One thing I noticed. I used Open Table... More

This was recommended by our accommodation. Yes, it is intimate and elegant although pricey for what it is. We could only manage a main course each, and these were very filling. Also our server was good and industrious. Note that the meals are served on cold plates. There is an issue with the wine list which is not updated for... More

I was fortunate enough to have some business associates pick up the tab for dinner at this restaurant. When we entered we were almost knocked over by the cigarette smoke. We did not have reservations but that was not a problem. We asked if they had a table far away from the smoke and pleasantly surprised .. they did and... More

In walking distance of our hotel, this was a great place to dine on our only night in Macon. The atmosphere and service were excellent. I had a rib-eye steak that was cooked exactly as requested and was superb quality. The only downside was the 'elevator' music. Some gentle classical or jazz would have been perfect.

Terrific atmosphere, very intimate. My wife and I went there for her birthday and it's a romantic setting. Excellent bar and service. The food was also excellent with one odd exception, an assorted cheese plate that essentially had supermarket cheese cubes. But other than that, highly recommended.
