Hoping this was just a hiccup due to the warm weather and the pub being extremely busy. Ordered takeaway due to no seating available, and was disappointed to find after the 2 minute drive home raw chips in both meals and food straight from a fridge not heated. A pretty big oversight and should never happen. Would have returned the... More

Visited the Talbot last night with my family and had a really good quality meal. The menu was varied with a good choice for fish lovers and meat eaters along with vegetarian options. We all had different starter; stuffed peppers, mussels, stilton stuffed mushrooms and smoked salmon with prawns, 3 filet steaks and one rib eye with a selection of... More

We visited The Talbot Inn on Saturday eve, 20/6/15 we had a drink in the bar then made our way upstairs to the restaurant. It was lovely to see white linen tablecloths on the tables, something you don't often see. We were promptly greeted by a friendly waitress and given a choice of tables to sit at. It was 7pm... More

First class Food and Service , a little gem in a surprise location, we had Mussles and Scallops for starters. For the main we had Sirloin and Fillett all with vegetables served fresh and perfectly cooked. Made room for Dessert and had the Creme Brûlée and the Brandy snap and Ice cream. Everything including Wine and all the drinks came... More

We visited this pub while on a short break in the area. The place is quite unassuming and even more so when you enter the bar but the restaurant is on the first floor and immediately you are impressed with the place. The staff are outstanding and looked after us well during the whole evening. The food was brilliant throughout... More

We (the Jones family) called here for lunch after travelling to Loche park classic car show. Sadly the rain stopped play and we were faced with home or lunch out. We opted lunch out. As everyone we like value for money and after scrolling trip advisor we thought we would give this place a try. Are we glad we did.... More

Steak pie is delicious; lots of tender, tasty steak cooked to perfection and topped by melt in the mouth pastry. Lovely friendly pub setting, service spot on even though pub and restaurant busy
