I have spent a week in Nusa Island retreat. That was a fabulous time spent relaxing and eating while others in the group enjoyed dives. It was an experience closer to nature in many ways. The animal rehabilitation done by the owners of the resort is admirable. As a result the guests get a chance to be up and close... More

Everything we had was really good. They served at least 5 dishes every night and desert. Best food we had in PNG!

This is a favourite weekend hangout for many expatriates in Kavieng. Lots of surfers too during surf season. Great place for food and relax. Small beach, not the best but sufficient for the population. Local village at the back sells lots of local handicrafts. Lots of Surfing, Fishing and Diving activities for those interested.

Was here for a week of diving and the spot is nice but the staff is a bit unorganized. The accomodation is basic but clean

The catch of the day seafood is great. They do other stuff too, curries, chinese cuisine, etc Salads are fantastic. The bread is home made and fresh. How about PNG cuisine (on request?)

Ambience in the 'barefoot bar' is great. Shaun (the owner) has a fantastic selection of drinks and the evening buffet is superb. Its a set price (65kina) but the selection changes daily. Commences at 7pm with soup. Delicious home-style cooking.

After having eaten plain steamed rice with instand noodles for two weeks, we've gone crazy on their buffet. Fom lobster to crocodile. They are very creative with the sometimes limited resources.

Just of the coast from Kaveing. Rustic style accomodation but clean and overhead fan + mosquito net. Eco friendly washing facilities and toilets. Evening buffet excellent and well worth the wait and cost. Owners helpful and friendly and know the area very well as they grew up here. Possible to arrange snorkling/diving in the vacinity. Popular surfing area later in... More
