What a surprise to find delicious Filipino food here!

I came here as I got a lunchtime deal because I stayed in Glowworm cottages for a $11 meal. I got bangers and mash with peas, gravy and onions. It was lovely. 1 of the cheapest places to eat out in Franz Josef village.

It was a cold, rainy day when we ventured toward the Blue Ice looking from the outside we decided this quaint little place to eat would be comfortable, warm and cosy with some soul warming food. NO! We were wrong. We expected to see coats hanging near the entry, perhaps a fire burning but as we entered it was cold... More

The poster on the window at our hostel advertising free pick up and drop off to the restaurant in a Hummerzine was the decider on where my teenage children and I ate that night. The ride in the luxury vehicle, though short, was pretty cool. We were immediately shown to our table and the staff were attentive but not particularly... More

Took the free limo pick up. A very unique experience taking a limo for the first time. Ordered the venison which was flavourful but may have been overcooked at some parts, rendering it tough. However, the duck confit and the mudcake really good, we enjoyed them. Price is quite steep though, just a heads up.

We chose this because we had been driving all day and thought the free limo pickup was a fun way to get to dinner. The limo and driver were great. The restaurant was ok but the service was a bit rough. The staff was quite loud in the back and played music that competed with the front end. The service... More

Let's face it: you don't travel to the wonderful, wild West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island primarily for the food unless you have contacts there who catch fish, shoot deer and wild boar, and have their own source of whitebait, and you have facilities to cook it all. You go there for the kayaking, climbing, walking and fishing –... More

This cafe is run by a very welcoming friendly Filipino family. We both enjoyed large-portion, well-cooked meals from an interesting menu. Highlight for us was the great service and friendly chat with the staff. Would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone.

With a standard decor, one would expect standard food fare, accompanied by a server more interested in the young girls, diners would be presently surprised by both the quality & freshness of the pasta dishes we ordered. A-1 on the juke box

The food was great. We each had a different dish and we all enjoyed it. The service was fine but I would have expected staff to pay more attention to us especially as we were the only ones there at the time
