Excellent spot for dinner

The food and wine were very good, I would say one of the better meals I've had in NZ. The service was prompt and faultless. That alone, is worth going back to. Now, imagine enjoying your meal and sipping your wine surrounded by spectacular scenery and a very lovely sunset...heaven! The only problem... read more

We went here with friends whilst touring the West Coast. We arrived late without a booking but the manager did her best to get us a table. The food and service can be summarised in one word: superb. We recommend to make a reservation because it is unlikely that you will be as lucky as we were.

We ate at this cafe tonight. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food superb. We both had the soup of the day, a curried chowder. Great choice as it had bite and flavour. Next ny husband had the fish of the day, a blue grouper. He was delighted with it. I chose the pork belly. This... More

Along with friends we had a very good meal here recently. Food was great and the prices were on a par with most other places considering they have had beef and lamb awards each year since 2009 I think it was. Staff were very pleasant and attentive to our needs.

I just bought ice-cream there. The outdoor view is amazing. There is a great opening of yellow grass land with a lot of cows and blue mountains in the background. Very enjoyable afternoon tea. There is also a gift shop nearby.

Clean and wonderfully located cafe, great coffees, great staffs and nice food selection. It is a great place for a good cup of coffee before walking into the mirror lake! Dont forget to visit the souvenir shop next door too.

This cafe is worth the 6km trip out of town. The views are beautiful, the service is excellent, and the food delicious. Also has a computer if you need internet access. Make a booking to avoid disappointment.

This glass fronted cafe was recommended by our motel and we are so glad we checked it out and booked a table for dinner. It was very busy but service was very good. I had the salmon starter which was delicious and my husband had the king prawn hot and sour soup. An unusual choice for him as he doesn't... More

The cafe serves good food, in a modern setting, with beautifully landscaped grounds, looking at Mount Cook - what's not to like? Free parking, too.
