Cheese and other tasty things

Popped in here today as part of the 12 apostles gourmet food tour. It was worth a visit. Great cheeses to taste and the chutney and sauces were good too. We brought two cheeses and a yummy rhubarb vinegar. Very nice.

We stopped here mainly to taste the cheeses. It was a tutored tasting by a very knowledgeable young lady whose loved of cheese matched my wife's. I think we tried almost all they had to offer and bought enough to last us the 10 days left on our camping trip. The cafe is set in a lovely, well tended garden... More

Loving all things cheese, a small detour off of the Great Ocean Road to visit this cheese shop and cafe was never going to be a chore and on arrival it became a fantastic experience. The staff were wonderfully friendly and engaging, encouraging us to try not only the cheese but also some lovely rhubarb jams and vinegar. Seeing as... More

Detoured from the Great Ocean Road to this quaint little place. The tasting was free, the lady was informative and very friendly. Would stop again if in the area.

We tasted the delicious cheese samples. There was also some jams and chutneys to try. Sue was informative and very helpful. We loved our visit and chose to have a Devonshire tea as well. The garden was idyllic and was like an oasis. We have since enjoyed our purchases upon our return home. We learnt that there is a distributor... More

You can only get here by car. Set in a rural setting with cows nearby and a lovely, well kept garden, we stopped here for a coffee and a cheese tasting. The ladies were pleasant and chattie and knowledgable. We purchased a very small piece of cheese AUD$11.52 with ash vein through it. Whilst very nice, it was I thought... More

We went in for a cheese tasting and walked out less than half way through as the girl doing the tasting ate off the fork she was using for tastings.

Stopped here on our tour of the great ocean road. Having had lots of french cheese we were interested to try their cheese which they told us was made by their french cheese maker. The cheese was way too young and should not have been sold. We told this to the lady serving us and she agreed but said they... More
