romance and history

If these walls could talk! This hip and romantic bar is rustic, trendy and historic, all in one. Service is good. The menu is fantastic. The beer and wine and cocktail menu diverse. Views of the port and inside, cozy and so ambient. The noise level can get high but otherwise, we love it.

Although the wine selections are great, and our server DAnielle was super that's the only positive things about the place. We had been to Cork about 4 years ago and had an okay experience but thought it was overpriced for the quality. We decided to give it a second chance figuring it had been a while and maybe improved. We... More

We had an early dinner before a show so restaurant was basically empty- secure was good and our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. Atmosphere is cozy in a restored old building. Food was okay. For a tapas restaurant the selection of dishes wasn't very adventurous. If you remove three salads, bread, olives and clam chowder and cheeses plate from... More

If you haven't already done so, you must visit Cork Wine & Tapas Bar in "The Whaling City", New Bedford, MA. Housed in a charmingly refurbished former maritime building, Cork sets the stage for an incredible dining experience from the moment you walk through the door. Complimentary Valet parking starts our visit off on a great note. Once inside we... More

Philly cheesesteak rolls to die for. Very Chic with a lot of history in the décor. Room upstairs you can rent for small events with friends. Spot on service and very relaxing. A little on the expensive side but I will always pay more for quality.

First time at Cork. Good food and portions. My wife's scallops were terrific. Staff was very courteous and attentive. Live music on a Monday night was an unexpected bonus. We will be back.

I've been to Cork several times and never been disappointed by the tapas or the service. Best of all is the atmosphere. The historic building is in the old section of New Bedford, with cobblestone streets, about a block from the Whaling Museum and adjacent to art galleries and Greek Revival beauties. Inside the restaurant is a nice mix of... More

In the historic section of New Bedford you will find Cork. Stone walls, old beams and a nice buzz accompany excellent tapas, a bar, and the option of wine flights. Portions are relatively large for tapas and prices reasonable. A scallops tapas was superb. The calamari was great. A flatbread was pleasantly filling. Service was relatively slow (on a very... Nice restored mill building in New Bedford..Had wine in a nice wine glass. They offer flights for $13, but did not do that..This is a place where you order tapas and share with the table. What was nice that they bring out 1 at a time ,so everyone can sample and move on to the next. Also had the white clam chowder,... More

The path to our wedding encompassed many changes but the best one we made was switching venues and using Cork for our ceremony and reception. From the first conversation with Richa to the actual event day with Emily, they did an absolutely outstanding job. Richa was the perfect person to plan your reception with. Emily was the perfect person to... More
