This time we went I had the steak on the hot plate with baked stuff shrimp, mashed, carrots and broc. molten lava choc cake. I had to get a to-go box because I just could not eat it all (not even half). Martinis are always a plus. Ana was our server, we request her every time we eat there. She... More

This place just did not cut it for my son and I. When we were seated we were informed by the waiter that the head chef was on this evening. Anticipating a great meal we started with a bottle of Donna Maria Reserva (very reasonable at $50). For appetizers we had the little necks with garlic and wine along with... More

A beautiful space in a tough neighborhood. We were seated fairly quickly on a busy Saturday night. The sangria, made to order, was a great start to the night. We ordered the flamed chorizo for an appetizer and it was tasty. I had the steak on a stone special and it was delicious. It comes with a red wine sauce... More

Service was very poor, we made reservations for 21 people and you would have thought owner would have called in extra waiters/waitresses. Our poor waiter was very nice, but the service was very very slow. Appetizers came out in shifts, some of our party received their meals, yet some of us hadn't even received our appetizers. Ordering drinks for the... More

My Wife & I visited Cotali Mar restaurant in New Bedford for our anniversary. We had heard good things about it and were anxious to dine there! The Calamari was excellent as was the server. My wife ordered shrimp in a garlic cream sauce and it was very good I on the other hand ordered Scallops Florentine. The scallops were... More

The Cotali Mar Restaurant was perfectly delightful and worth another visit if I could be guaranteed to have the service of Ricardo Ponta Garca! He was absolutely charming, witty, very knowledgeable about the menu and completely entertaining and he turned our lovely luncheon into a memorable experience!

We, a group of recent Cornell graduates and families, had come into New Bedford to attend the funeral of a departed classmate. When I realized that none of our friends had considered making a reservation for a dinner, post-wake, i checked to see how many people would be interested in joining us. The number escalated to 25 people and Cotali... More

We had a reservation for dinner on a Sunday evening at 6:30pm. When we got there we were seated and was told by the waiter they were out of all the steaks and several seafood items. The waiter said he understood if we wanted to leave, but we decided to try and order something off their extensive menu. Everything we... More

First of all it is important to note that the Fall River/New Bedford area has some very good Portuguese restaurants and this one is in the top echelon. It is somewhat more formal than many of the local restaurants, nicely decorated with a beautiful outdoor area for warm summer nights and interior that is very nicely done. Parking is in... More
