Had to come back for the fried clams!! Great place on the water. The staff was excellent. Food was very good and the price was reasonable. The outdoor bar had a view of the working fishing boats. Nice sunset over the New Bedford Skyline!!

I was told by so many people how good this place is but I did not enjoy the food that was served to my husband and I . Mine was just alright but his fried scallops were awful...not fresh and very greasy.

We went to Fathoms for a family dinner. My father, two of my sisters and Jan. We ate outside on the deck to enjoy the beautiful day. I got the prime rib which was excellent. It was one of the best prime ribs I have had in a long, long time. My meal came with a baked potato and string... More

I had Pan Roasted Black Bass - local Black Sea bass skin on fillets, seared crisp over Jasmine rice and wilted spinach with rainbow tomatoes finished with a champagne and citrus vinaigrette - excellent dinner! Reasonably priced and it was very pleasant sitting on the outside deck. We ordered the lemon berry cake for dessert - our waitress said it... More

This was our first visit. Lucky to get an outdoor table at sunset. I had fish & chips. It was ok. I have had better. Lobster mac & cheese was excellent. Service good to average. Pricey.

While the food tastes pretty good, I'm sure that you can find restaurants in the area that are comparable, but with much better service. However, if you are in the mood to have your entire evening (please allow at least 3 hours) to be consumed with waiting to be seated and waiting on your food, then give this restaurant a... More

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time but know it gets pretty busy so if you don't get there early enough, you're in for a wait. We dined on a Saturday night at around 5:30. The restaurant, while busy, was not overly crowded. We were seated in a nice pub style table in the bar area.... More

The seafood is fresh, fresh, fresh and cooked well. I tend to like seafood slightly undercooked and y wife likes it well done; they satisfied us both. We shared a fried calamari appetizer and each ordered fried clams. Everything was fresh, the batter was delightfully light, with no oily aftertaste as sometimes happens at clam shacks. The salad was a... More

Fathoms is going down hill...went to get lunch, waited at the front where the "Please wait to be seated" sign is for over two minutes while several employees just stood around talking. We finally just started walking over to the door for outside seating, several clearly empty tables on the deck and lot of staff just hanging out not even... More

This was my first time at Fathom's, and I will definitely be back. My girlfriend and I met up with some friends from Fairhaven, and it was between Fathom's and The Pasta House. I like trying new places, so we gave it a go. We sat at the bar on the back deck (gorgeous view), had a few cocktails, the... More
