Ate on the deck on a beautiful summer day. The baked scallops were excellent as were the roasted potatoes and veggies. Reasonable prices and fast service.

Not sure why this is not rated higher on Fairhaven restaurants it is the best in my opinion. My family and I eat here regularly and never have a bad meal. The prices and portion sizes are awesome and the seafood is fresh and prepared well. My favorites include the Tuna app or meal and the swordfish, my husband loves... More

This is one of only a few restaurants in greater NB with any water view. The view is of the working waterfront and the NB Fairhaven Bridge. The outdoor patio with canopy and roll down sides if needed is fun in summer. The indoor part of the restaurant is mostly a large bar and about 6 or 7 booths and... More

Nice location and bar but the owner is a drunken fool that should stay out of the place. He seems to always be around the bar area causing a scene. loud and very rude to the customers. He Stay home.

The food is great, I haven't had a bad meal yet, whether Lunch or Dinner. Wait Staff is excellent to my liking. Only problem, when they have live music, and the "Boss" is around (which I'm told he likes it loud), the volume is way too high for the dining experience. I have a problem with that, as I'm sure... I've stopped in here a few times for dinner, since it looked promising. Oops! Sometimes the fish is fresh and properly cooked. Sometimes. Sometimes the service is great. Sometimes. Many better places for seafood within a short distance.

This restaurant was recommended to us. Located on the waterfront, it features indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress Melissa was personable all the way through our meal and offered us some background on the establishment and the best food choices. The clam chowder soup was excellent. The crab scrod and baked New Bedford scrod were flavorful and tasty. Garlic mashed... More

These people cannot get out of their own way. The service ranges from incompetent (that's the high note) to obnoxious. I can't comment on the food because we walked out before being served. My best advice is to stay away.

A really unique decor and worth the visit to just sit at the bar! However, considering New Bedford is the fishing capitol, it is amazing to me that there is very little fresh seafood on the menu...pretty much everything seafoodesq is fried and that is odd to me. The service has been in the past less than exceptional. I have... More

When you first walk into Fathoms, you see a large retangular bar. Behind it is a small dining room. There is a nice size deck with seating but unfortunately it was not open in late April. We were seated immediately, and the wait staff could not have been more attentive. The food was great and the price very reasonable. I... More
