A local sandwich and soup shop, in the heart of New Bedford. A bit funky, but good and creative food with good veggie and traditional choices. I had the sweet potato soup definitely great, and a chicken wrap, good, but a bit salty and fatty for my taste.

The only reason I gave a 4 vs 5 star rating is that the parking is by meter. Also, from studying "Online Reputation Mgt", it's known that 3 or 4 star ratings get read more. As for the food, the "Italian Wedding" soup with a lot of chunky Italian sweet sausage and chunky veggies in it was outstanding. The Italian... More

My wife and I ate lunch here recently, before tackling the Whaling Museum. I had the spicy Italian veggie soup and my wife had the chicken vegetable. Both were superb -- just as if you made them at home from scratch, assuming you knew how to make great soup. Chock full of flavor and fresh vegetables the broth was delicious.... More

I've got a couple different specialty grilled cheeses here, both of which were good. The Portucheese had chourico and peppers and the el guapo had black bean and avocado(favorite of the two). The tomato soup was awesome though. Really tasty and i got it with some French bread to dip it in. Will keep coming back!

Life does not stop because of children. Destination Soups is a great place to take them. Staff here is super friendly and I love their buffalo chicken sandwich. Very relaxed place to grab a quick lunch in the historic area.

If you're looking for a lighter lunch or dinner this is the place. Great selection of salads and soups nicely prepared. Informal atmosphere and very comfortable.
