Description: Located above the Wailea Tennis Center, Joes has panoramic ocean views on one side and vistas of Haleakala on the other. Internationally acclaimed Chef Bev Gannon masterminds the menu, while husband Joe Gannon is credited with the theatrical lighting and inspiration of this popular dining spot. Wonderful comfort food, with a gourmet streak such as slow roasted prime rib, with mashed potatoes, our BBQ ribs, and Joes favorite meatloaf. Fresh local fish is also offered nightly including appetizers such as the ahi carpaccio and calamari. Don't forget about the "World famous crab dip"! The Seafood Pot Pie with fresh fish, shrimp and scallops is another favorite. Children are welcome, offering a fun kids menu and special drinks like the green gecko. One of Wailea's best Mai Tai's, crazy martinis, and and exceptional wine list from well known producers as well as smaller boutique wineries.

I love joes so so much. The people who work there treat you like family. I have always liked joes food. The last time i went there though i tried the tortilla soup. I did not like it at all. It tasted like tomato soup. It was a little strange because every single time i have been to joes their... More

You can see why the locals make it their hangout. It has a country club feel and the Gannon food. We've gone our last 2 trips to Maui and we're pleased both times. The quirky golf cart ride down from the parking lot doesn't really detract from the experience, but it is annoying. We were advised by friends to get... More

I must admit that I was initially quite disappointed that the prime rib was sold out by 6:30 on a Saturday night. Rather poor planning on their part. There was a kid literally screaming at the top of their lungs who eventually got hauled outside. Mains were meat loaf and short ribs. Both were quite excellent. Service was good. Decent... More

I've always gone to Joe's for their Prime Rib as I think it is one of the best I've ever had. Went there this year with friends on my birthday and just found it to be so so. It was not crisply crusted on the outside and was smothered in au jue sauce. There are so many better restaurants on... More

This was our first big dinner out after a long day of travel. It was a little weird with parking but the guy running the golf cart was very friendly. The look and feel of the restaurant was nice and cozy. Our waiter was very nice. The food was nothing special. The meatloaf was not that great and was slathered... More

Joe's is in an odd location and somewhat hard to find, but it's at a tennis club. Doesn't affect it's menu, however. The menu is varied...my husband had jambalaya tonight (good, flavorful, but not nearly as spicy as say a New Orleans version), Prime Rib, Goat Cheese stuffed chicken and I had the fresh catch, pumpkin seed encrusted Opa which... I've been coming here for eons.....15 years?...who knows? It was fairly decent but has been sliding. Had the prime rib in April...excellent...slow cooked. Had it the other day?...it was crap.....been told some young kid is running the kitchen and he has no clue. Mashed potatoes were like glue. Blue cheese salad is horrible. On the plus side?...great views and a... More

We love all things Bev Gannon and wanted to give her husband Joe's place a try. Totally not disappointed. From the moment we parked the car, people were nice. A man with a golf cart will shuttle you to the door of Joe's. My husband had the short ribs and just about licked the plate. I had the cumin dusted... More

Joe's is off the beaten path, nestled among some tennis courts, away from the beach. They have great food, service and attitude. Any place that puts on their menu's "Unruly children will be given an espresso and a free mongoose" is alright in my book. I'd highly recommend them.

The restaurant atmosphere and service is great! Parking is not located by the restaurant, but by the road and a golf cart/driver will taxi you down-which only takes a few short minutes. I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were room temp and so I did send my meal back, however, it came back with the steak... More
