According to a local realtor, this cafe is closed and will become a private restaurant for a private golf club. This was why we were unable to find it.

The Cafe on the Green at the Makena Resort on Maui was always a favourite spot to grab a late lunch or drinks at sunset however it is closed while the Golf Course is undergoing renovations. When the golf course re-opens early 2014, (as a private course I heard), I hope that the Makena Resort will still offer hotel guests... More

We enjoyed a peaceful afternoon in the typical Hawaiian atmosphere overlooking grand vistas. Birds and happy fellow tourists for company. Interesting pupus well prepared.

This was our second time to A Café on the Green. Must admit it is a little eerie driving up to the place. You will think to yourself is this place open? Don't let that discourage you! As like the time before the service is excellent and the food is delicious. We ordered 5 appetizers to share amongst the 5... More

Yes, empty, we were the only one's there. Led to great service and a nice relaxing meal with beautiful views. Waitress excellent, food choices all tempting and all the food very good, though nothing blew us away. Prices reasonable as well.

We had visited the Cafe on our previous trip to Maui and really enjoyed it. Though the golf course at its location was closed (temporarily), we were happy to find it was open. As with our previous visit, the views, service and food were all excellent. We split a satay appetizer and then both had ahi tuna sandwiches which were... More

Keep your eye out for local coupons, bogo. Definitely order the bacon sliders! Great view of the golf course although it was closed when we visited.

We went for lunch and were the only customers there probably due to the golf course being closed for renovation. Food was decent but not spectacular - the smoothie on the other hand was! Not overly priced and good service would probably use again if in the area.

We did happy hour twice at the Cafe on the Green at Makena Golf Course. The food was very good and the service was great. We would go back.

OK, I am sure this restaurant more than meets the needs of many tourists - which explains the ranking. But just so you know, this is a golf club restaurant, not a fancy private golf club restaurant, but probably one similar to your local municipal golf course. The selection is minimal, the food somewhat average. Indeed, the price (and perhaps... More
