We dined there while staying at the Fairmont. The food was excellent, service friendly and fast but the prices where rather high.

The selection on the buffet was great. Plenty of options to choose from. My kids loved the waffle stand where you could top them with almost anything you want. The downside is the birds but I know they can't control that.

If not included in your hotel package, then breakfast here is a pricey option. Having said that, the food is excellent quality and the portions are huge but if you have a modest, more European sized appetite you may not get value for money.

We ate breakfast here twice during our 6-day stay at the Kea Lani. While we didn't really dislike the food, it was just average. Also, they really need to do something about all the birds trying to steal the food.

The breakfast buffet is the way to go - Anything you could want, fruit, bacon, sausage, eggs, salmon, sweets, yogurt, really - anything you could want, all served by the pool. It's nice not to have to go anywhere in the morning, very relaxing - just wake up and head down to the Kea Lani, no waiting. You can get... More

Our breakfast was included here and it was great to have every morning! The buffet is the way to go, but it can be costly if it is not included with your stay.

Excellent selections -- fresh fruit, breakfast meats, eggs on demand. Anything you can imagine. The mango bread is a winner. Watch the birds... they can be aggressive!

We took our three kids to the breakfast buffet and it was delicious! They had a nice variety and everything was hot and tasted wonderful. They had omelets made to order, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, danish, bagels, toast, fried potatoes, pancakes, fruit, cereal, juice, muffins, and much more. The kids wanted to eat here every day. A little... More

Great breakfast buffet for the price ($34/person), including omelette station, smoked salmon and cold cuts, lots of fruits, even for a decent gluten free selection. Friendly staff. Busy in the morning with families and conference attendees and couples. Great way to start the day off or come back after watching the sun rise at the top of the crater!
