Enjoyed an excellent meal here during our Maui trip--perhaps the best dining experience we had! Vibe was relaxed & hip, food was amazing, service attentive. When at Monkeypod, you MUST save room for pie. Best desserts ever!

This is a very busy restaurant with a lot of diners and a lot of staff that does their best to get you in and out quickly. The restaurant offers a vartiety of both tradtional and different types of food that should satisfy every diner. I had a beat salad with fresh greens, chevre and bacon that was out of... More

Stopped by for lunch April 2014. Food was excellent and service friendly and timely. Will make a point of stopping here again the next time we're in Wailea.

We couldn't figure out what the hype was about Monkeypod as we found it to be only average...and that was positively influenced by a very nice server. The location doesn't offer any view or ambiance. Inside seating is pretty packed and the patio overlooks the street. Sure, the happy hour appetizers are 1/2 price and pizza is cheap, but we... More

Been to Maui many a time and we were staying next door (Grand Champions...avoid this place) and decided to stop for lunch. The place is amazing, staff wonderful and importantly, Knowledgable. Ordered Poppers for a starter..amazing. Fish and chips and fish tacos..tres dilish. The beers and drinks are modern, relevant and chic and they cater to kids as though a... More

My husband & I had dinner here on a very busy Saturday night but we never felt rushed & the meal was very fresh & just as great as other Merriman restaurant. We started with Mai Tai's & amazing garlic truffle fries. We both had the seafood special which was very fresh & had great presentation. For desert we had banana... More

Sure, you probably expect excellent seafood on Maui, but this place goes overboard. Three of us got fish while one (as always) got a steak. We were all thrilled with the meal, but not so thrilled with the noise level. It was really LOUD! Very nice cocktail menu, too.

Happy hour is the best deal. 1/2 price appetizers and $9 pizza. It is the only time of day that drinks are reasonable. As is the new trend with all open ceilings it is loud and service and attitude is very hit or miss. Not inexpensive.

Loved the truffle mushroom pizza and cold beer, but otherwise food was subpar. Service started good, but quickly soured. Too many other options in Maui. Skip Monkeypod.

I highly recommend this restaurant. I turned 50 last week, and my brother took me, and 5 others to Maui to celebrate. We had eaten at this restaurant before, and decided it would be a perfect place to celebrate my birthday. We were right! Ryan runs (and owns) the place. His attention to our group and the food were just... More
