Spiny Tail Lobster - a Treat !

I had my first warm-water lobster - and loved it !!! I was allowed to pick out my very own live lobster; a sweeter flavor the the Maine lobster I was more familiar with. Atmosphere of restaurant was awesome. Ask for the drink served inside a real hollowed out coconut - FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!

This restaurant at the Grand Wailea should be a spectacular experience but it just wasn't. We didn't have a reservation (but it wasn't crowded) and we were asked to wait in the bar. No problem but we waited about 45 minutes, which seemed like punishment for not calling ahead, particularly when there were plenty of tables open. Then once we... More

We were able to enjoy a private breakfast offered at Humu for spouses and families of those attending a conference at the Grand Wailea. Usually only open for dinner, it was great to be able to bring the kids to this amazing restaurant in the daylight. The restaurant is a series of thatched huts which seems to be floating on... More

We went here to celebrate my mother-in-law's 88th birthday. They really did make her feel special - had everyone sing her Happy Birthday, gave her a free dessert (which she thankfully shared with us!) and even gave her a free stuffed Humuhumu. The food was good as always. My only complaint is that the restaurant was only about 1/4 full... More

It was good - my fish was excellent as was my husbands. It is very coastal foodie and so for families I don't know that I'd recommend it. The waitress was super nice - sunset was amazing...get there by 6. Everything is a la carte and most meals are 45/each. We went once and are glad we did - but... More

I have to say that we are vegetarians. We called in advance to make sure they had vegetarian options before making the reservation. I was pretty excited for our dinner but was totally disappointed. Who ever prepared our food dumped too much salt in!! :( Not a pleasant experience for the $$$ spent.

this is probably great if you prefer really high end restaurants, but my family prefers places like Charley's in Paia; We like more casual places; Our waiter said he was the only "in house sommelier" and seemed annoyed and arrogant that we didn't order wine or appetizers; we ate here when we first arrived and were still tired and jet... Quiet, outdoor setting. Food nicely prepared and presented. Service not rushed. Several people stated it was best dinner of the trip. Had previously eaten at Nick's, Mama's, Morimoto's and Lahiana grill.

Excellent dinner, service, atmosphere!! I've been here numerous times, but this time was the best... the tuna loin and the scallop appetizer were both fantastic.
