we were looking for good Japanese food and sushi. This place looked nice located in high end mall. So we went in, very disappointed. Sushi was cut so thin and the quality was not special, Udon noodle soup was ok, the one thing we like was chicken teriyaki skewers. But over all, It was way over priced for the quality.... More

If you are into fine sushi - pass. If you really are dying for sushi and need a fix - it's ok - nothing special or fancy. A bit over priced - maybe we are spoiled in LA

We have stayed in Wailea several times. We always enjoy at least one meal at Kai. They are accommodating to our 5, 3, and 1-year-olds. The child's plate has several things, so even a picky kid shouldn't go hungry. If they do, you can always take them to Lapperts for ice cream afterward. The sushi is really good. The presentation... While its tucked away on the Wailea Shops, the location betrays an amazing quality of sushi and an attentive service team.Over the past 4 four visits to the island we have eaten her a dozen times or so. Its not cheap, but the quality and creativity make up for that. The Lobster Roll, Wailea Roll and Sashmi Five are musts.

This restaurant is in the Wailea shopping center by the Marriott and Grand Wailea. It was good. I fact the Salmon was really really good. We did not have a huge meal but the sashimi was fresh nd the California roll used real crab and it was just a nice meal. service was adequate.

We chose Kai because it was within walking distance of our resort and there are other shops around it. The food was good, and the service was attentive & friendly. They have a large selection on their menu so there is something for everyone.

Nice ambiance , great sashimi but the rolls were mushy and did not taste very good. Definitely does not live up to the hype. Try Sushi Paradise or Sansei if you're looking for better quality.

Some of the best sushi I have had. The server was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice as well. Would certainly eat here again.

My husband and I went to the restaurant with another couple. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was great. I've never had raw fish before but everything on the menu was fantastic.
