Big buffet. Large selection and LETTUCE!

This is the yacht club in Cienfuegos Cuba. At one time a private club for the ultra wealthy. After the revolution it, along with all other business, became owned by the state. It’s not clear if this facility was maintained throughout the 50 odd years since the revolution or has been restored... read more

Our stop-over in Cienfuegos started with lunch at the Yacht Club and, although it is a very popular place for tours, once we had our 'slot' confirmed, the large dining room was pleasant enough and the food (self-service buffet) was excellent. After lunch, it was a treat to wander down the ramps to the marina and view all the boats... More

We thought this might be nice for lunch.... fortunately we decided to sit outside and order a la carte. Inside was awful.... one tour group after another queuing for the buffet! Very noisy inside but did had A/C

We stopped here for Mojito on our first evening and looked out over the yachts and the bay as the sun went down. The mojitos were good and the view fantastic. Another evening we went to the restaurant and sat out on the top balcony enjoying a very tasty paella. Very atmospheric and not as formal as it seems from... More

This restaurant has a certain 'high class' style. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the servants are polite. We had our drinks fast. We ordered fish and the food was good.

We had lunch with our tour group and it was by far the best buffet we had on our trip. They had a goddess assortment of hot and cold . The soup was outstanding. You got a full glass of wine unlike most places just a half glass. The bathrooms were sort of semi clean unlike most which were horrid.... More

On a whirlwind tour of central Cuba, our bus made a lightning stop here for a quick, but very tasty lunch. Staff brought drinks quickly and kept the buffet full. The patio and harbour were gorgeous. The hotel, pool and general area looked wonderful, but as with most bus tours, there was no time to enjoy. It is the kind... More

First two of us went for drinks. Service in gov't establishments is usually barley OK. Our wives joined us and after 30 min we had to go to the bar and interrupt the servers conversation to get drinks. We then went upstairs for dinner at sunset. Take your camera. Food was good by Cuban standards ( while Cuba be prepared... More

So happy to have found this place. Cuba is not renown for dining and so we were delighted with the food, the service and the ambience. Our family had arranged to meet friends for dinner at the club and started at the balcony which was a little too noisy. We retired upstairs intending on moving for dinner and didn't leave... More

After sitting on the main terrace for an hour or two we were about to give up on Club Cienfuegos. Despite it’s fabulous location and imposing façade, the endless flock of tour groups being given cha cha lessons by loud speaker was too much to take. This being said, one need only ascend one flight of stairs to discover an... More
