Went a few years back with my family to experience the flavors of their food. We went on a Sunday to take advantage of their buffet. The flavor of the sofrito and oregano is ohhh so good!!! The food was delicious, you could taste the use of fresh produce. You get to choose from a great variety of local dishes... More

Let me start by saying that I'm not a big fan of Puerto Rican food. El Jibarito does deliver local ambience and traditional favorites. Perhaps it is me but Monfongo just seems to be too leaden in texture, and the fried corn fritters seemed to have no leavening. My husbands roast pork was dry. One bright spot was the Sangria.... This Hotel is on my hometown. I love the view and the feeling you get when you are there, grab a cup of coffee (it is fresh and has a great flavor). That is good. The restaurant however, I went for my birthday to eat since it was good years prior when I went. This time they had literally DID... More

We went to this eco-friendly hacienda to take a day off our daily routine and relax. It was a wonderful day, the Hacienda was very pretty and invited you to walk about and enjoy nature. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the service was very good and the waiter was very nice. After having a... More

My boyfriend bought an online offer from "gustazos" that included ribs (with no sides), two drinks and churros (two). He payed $19.00 for it, and according to the offer the original price was $69.00. For that price (original price) I was expecting enough food for both of us and of good quality...I was dead wrong. Our greeting was to inform... More

I went with my boyfriend last month. We had a "gustazo" from the restaurant that included 2 mofongos, 2 sangrias and churros for dessert. We had to wait to be seated like half hour. The waitress took the order and don't even offered us to see the menu. Another waitress give us the sangrias that were watery and bad tasting.... More

We dined at the restaurant four years ago and the service and food were excellent. The place was packed to the point where we had to share a long table with other guests. The menu included typical Puerto Rican cuisine and served in traditional cookware. I remember having the best "sopa de platano" I have ever tasted served in a... More

Good looking place. But the food was terrible, don't you even think about ordering mofongo filled with "churrasco" it is awful and the churrasco doesn't taste good. Also, we had to wait like 1 hour and a half for the food. The service was amazing but if you want to be obligated to pay for 20% of the total for... More

I reserved a few days at La Hacienda El Jibarito just to get away from the San Juan area. Even with a navigation, it took us time to find the place. This hotel should place some road signs that can assist guests in not wasting travel time to this location which is UP on a hilltop. Upon arrival, they gave... More
