Tasty meals prepared from scratch so that changes can be made to accommodate food allergies. We had one of the window tables where we could see the Mersey river. Liverpool's history as a center for privateering adds to the town's interest. Wish we had stayed overnight at Lane's Privateer Inn. It's a good jumping off place for visiting Keji park... More

Had a wonderful meal in Lane's Privateer Inn. It was a mouth watering curry! Don't think there's anywhere else in Nova Scotia that serves up anything quite like it!

Really enjoyed my seafood lunch and glass of wine in a very nice setting. Pub style interior with outdoor option in good weather. Friendly and helpful staff.

Stopped at Lanes for lunch. Waited 1 hour after placing our order and still did not get food. We had to leave without having lunch as we had an appointment. Waiter told us the cook did not get the order and asked us to wait longer, which we could not do. Cannot rate the food as we did not receive... More

Dear John~ Thank you for taking the time to write this review. As you can imagine, we were very distressed to discover that you did not get served. We stayed at Lanes for 4 nights in May, and one of the highlights was having breakfast included every morning. The Haddock Cakes at Lane's have been a highlight of the establishment for decades, and it was no different on this trip. Also basic, yet exceptional was the homemade Brown Bread toast!

This restaurant has a nice warm atmosphere. The location is great-it is close to downtown. The weather was dull and overcast but that didn't take away from a great view of the river. The service was prompt and good overall. The food was very good with with good size portions.. We would return.

Awesome breakfast, only thing missing was fresh orange juice! Sweet location and easy to find! Great service! Lovely property, if the weather had cooperated, they have a nice patio space too.
