Lovely place for lunch

We enjoyed a tasty meal here as a family and were delighted by the experience. It's a nice place with a pleasant atmosphere and the food was spot on. The service was good and the view out over the Mersey River was welcomed. We would return, thanks!

Great spot for lunch or breakfast. Good service and food portions are in line with prices. Close to shopping and south shore beaches. Outdoor dining is available on a seasonal basis.

Had a lovely meal here in October. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Food was well prepared and nicely presented. Nice area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine if your not quite ready to eat. Low key and very comfortable surroundings. Will certainly be going back.

Another excellent meal. This place is a favourite place with the locals due to the fresh food and creative chef.. The service is fast, friendly and efficient. There is also a quaint gift store inside with very unique and tasty items for sale.

We drove to Liverpool from Lunenburg to find the food truck we had heard about no longer existed. Instead we had lunch on the back deck of Lanes Privateer Inn overlooking the Mersey River. One of the basic traditional blue collar meals in Nova Scotia is fish cakes so we thought we'd give them a try: haddock cakes with baked... More

Wow, this was a nice treat after a long day of travel so glad \\i reviewed where to eat in Liverpool. I saw that someone complained about the waiter not being attentive enough, but that is not the case it was the perfect amount of service. My dinner of fish cakes and salad was fantastic !! Loved the gift shop... More

My husband and I had our Thanksgiving dinner at Lane's Privater Inn's restaurant in Liverpool, Nova Scotia this evening. The service and dinner were excellent. I have a gluten intolerance. When my huband was served a fresh home made biscuit, I was pleasently surprised to be served triangles of delicious warm gluten free bread and butter. Believe me this does... More

We were recommended to try this Hotel's pub. The staff were friendly and they had some great drink suggestions. It has an interesting story to it of being originally owned by a Privateer ... The Lane family bought it but have kept some of the history alive

The meal was good but nothing outstanding. The chowder was good but not the best eaten since our trip began. The service was fair but our server was more interested in the game than us. We weren't even offered a second beer. Please try Lane 's and draw your own conclusions. This was our experience.
