I would love to write about how great the food was. Everyone recommended it, even raved about it, but no one could remember to tell us that it was closed on Tuesday. As it was our last night in town, we were unable to try it. May 26th 2009 more

My friend and I were in Natchez for a few days and we tried a lot of restaurants in town, but Magnolia was by far our favorite. We went twice while we were there! You could tell it was a local favorite because everyone seemed to know everyone. Everything on the menu looked awesome so we asked our waitress what... more

The fried shrimp and the BBQ shrimp are very good. We sat by the window and had a great view of the MS River. We ate in the midafternoon, thus, the service was adequate. They have a private parking lot which is useful since there is very little parking available under the hill. more

Upon entering we were greeted right away and told we could sit anywhere. My mom and I each ordered a salad and also split the spinach-cheese dip. The salads were good and the dip was incredible. It was right out of the oven and still bubbling. It was served with toasted pita wedges. Service and atmosphere were fine. The restaurant... more

Upon entering the Magnolia Grill, we were not greated, but a waitress pointed at a table. We were never brought a menu - she simply asked us if we were ready to order. I had to find the menu myself. We each ordered burgers and waited for an hour and a half - during which time she told us there... more

We ate at the Magnolia Grill on 10/18/2008 and the food was good. All 3 of us got the fried shrimp. It came with 1 side. We got a stuffed potato. For about $19 per plate we got about 10 shrimp and a 1/2 stuffed potato. There was no salad or bread served. The fried shrimp were perfect. However, we... more

After reading good reviews of the Magnolia Grill we were very disappointed with our experience. Upon entering a bored waitress told us "sit wherever you want." We headed towards an empty table near the front. "You can't sit there, it's reserved!" she snapped. I asked how we knew which tables were/were not reserved. She rolled her eyes and said" it's... more

Tons of reviews said Magnolia Grill had the best catfish, it really does. The catfish briar is amazing, if you don't like mushrooms just ask for it with out or pick a different catfish off the menu. Call ahead for a reservation because it is not a very big restaurant. They use butcher paper to cover the top of the... more

We enjoyed our dinner there so much. We ate in the glassed in porch and it was pleasant to sit and watch the barges going up and down the river. You really should try the Spinach and Artichoke appetizer. It is delicious and is a large serving. We were almost full when our meal was served after that appetizer, and... more

The grilled catfish was to die for as previously mentioned by other reviewers, Wow! Nice atmosphere, wonderful wait staff and a good selection of ice cold beer and fine wines. Weekends are busy, and a reservation at prime times might be a good plan. (prime time for Natchez is 6-8PM) more
