Make this one of your stops in Natchez

After seeing this on a list of unique buildings, we added this to our "must see" list while in Natchez. We weren't disappointed. We went only for the homemade desserts, which were outstanding. We heard very positive comments from other patrons. No credit cards taken, however. Cash or check only.

If, when you travel, you like to eat in run-of-the-mill restaurants, this review is NOT for you! Mammy's Cupboard in Natchez, Mississippi, is anything but a run-of-the-mill eatery. Open for lunch, Mammy's Cupboard is easily recognizable by the enormous hot pink hoop skirt, complete with "Mammy" perched on top, in which it is housed! The food is good and reasonably... More

We were getting tired of the travelling, and even more so, hungry! Then I remembered seeing a quirky restaurant online in the shape of a lady and her large dress as we passed it on the highway. We stopped of course. Mammy's cupboard is great. They serve fresh, home cooked food, with a menu that regularly changes (daily I think!)... More

It's a strange looking place that kids will love to visit just for the experience and photo ops. Limited seating space, so try to arrive a bit early; it gets crowded quickly for lunch. There are some interesting items hanging on the walls and for sale as souvenirs in the bookshelves, also. Very simple sort of place, no frills. It's... More

My partner and myself chose Mammy's Cupboard as our first planned meal in Natchez, we were not disappointed. The structure itself is work a stop, but the service was quick and accommodating, and the food clearly homemade and prepared with care. Each day of operation they have a featured dish, red beans and rice with seven layer salad when we... More

It is a longer wait getting a seat inside than getting your food. But the wait is well worth it. I have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Although each time I have set my expectations higher and higher. There is a good reason you order your dessert first....If you waited until the usual time there wouldn't be... More

We wanted to visit this quirky restaurant as soon as we saw the reviews on TA and its unique building! The food did not disappoint - my wife had the ham and cheese sandwich whilst I had the turkey and avocado sandwich, both served with a vegetable soup. All tasted fantastic and I would definitely recommend Mammy's Cupboard to anyone!

We had heard about this place and the great desserts. So we drove out from Natchez for lunch. They close 2pm and we got there about 1:00 and still had to wait for 15 minutes. But was waited on immediately by a friendly waitress. We were only going to order pie but heard someone say how good the Chicken Salad... More

We stopped in here because of other reviews, and it didn't disappoint. We had the $10 lunch special of the day which included two slices of pork tenderloin, broccoli cornbread, and two sides. The blueberry ice tea was delicious and the great service kept our glasses filled. Finished with three different kinds of pie because they all looked divine. They... More
