Southern Comfort Food

While we didn't have any live Blues playing on a quiet Tuesday night, the food and service kept us more than satisfied. Starting with Crawfish beignets and Bloody Mary's as an appetizer. We moved on to Catfish fried with a light delicate dusting instead of heavy breading. A substantial Tuna... read more

We ate here for lunch on New Year's Day so we could get our black eyed peas. I had ribs, corn casserole, black eyed peas and green beans. My husband had the fried catfish. And of course, we had biscuits. All was excellent!

Semi-fancy takes on Southern classics. Atmosphere is very nicely done. Not the greatest value for money but a worthwhile stop for carefully-put-together dishes in Natchez. Free biscuits that come with the meals are delicious! Live blues some nights.

This place was very busy for lunch, but service was not lacking. The server was nice and friendly. The biscuits are given as an appetizer (one per person). They were very tastey with their special butter. I got the grilled fish (amazing), sweet potatoe casserole, squash, house salad with molasses vinegarette dressing and a cup of gumbo. The blues are... The catfish trosclair was excellent. It was served with creamy cheese grits. The biscuits with the butter marmalade mixture was yummy. The stuffed jalapeños with crab was divine. Nice atmosphere and good service.

We've been here 4 or 5 times, and it just goes from meh to worse. Yesterday, despite the restaurant's moniker, there were no biscuits and no blues. The little biscuits were the only thing bringing us back, but they have gotten so apathetic at this place they apparently don't even bother to make the them any more. Our food was... More

Wonderful place to have lunch or dinner. A variety of barbecue foods, pastas, fish, salads and special biscuits. It is relaxed environment to enjoy a beer and listen to music or watch a sports event or listen to an old classic rock concert on a big screen tv. It is not a fast food place. Just slow down relax and... More

It has a local, relaxed feel. The food was good, plentiful and inexpensive. We both had the lunch plate. The ribs were great.

I had the oysters on a spinach salad and found it to be really good. I only regretted that we hadn't been there on the night that there was entertainment. We went on a Sunday evening so we did not get to experience that.
