Wonderful experience and food

Great ambiance, terrific food, but a bit pricey. The atmosphere is elegant but not stuffy. The food and service is excellent. But for myself I find the prices are a bit high. Above all, a wonderful dinner night out.

We were provided with a voucher to eat breakfast here, as our B&B host had an early medical appointment with his wife, and couldn't provide us with breakfast. On arrival, we showed our voucher to the waitperson who looked at us like we were insects. She seated us, but clearly was not interested in serving us at all - ignored... More

I am sorry your visit was disappointing. Please understand this is not typical for our restaurant. We do provide training for our employees continuously and sometimes in the process don't receive the results as quickly as we would like. However, we do provide a Southern Breakfast Buffett that is more than average compared to others. More

The Castle Restaurant at Dunleith has the potential for a much higher rating, but for a restaurant that has above average prices, the staff training is well below average. When we first arrived at Dunleith and unloaded the car it was about 8:30 PM, and the front desk staff said that everything in town would be closed by the time... More

In response to your review we have spoken to all staff to remind them that at Dunleith our guest are our first priority. I am sorry this was so unpleasant and we are implementing new training for our staff to alleviate these type of problems. I will be contacting you if possible to get more details. More

We dined at Castle as we were staying at Dunleith Inn and it was recommended. The rolls were delicious as was the bisque. Our steaks were overdone but we ate them anyway. Other friends ate duck and seafood and said theirs was good. The next morning free breakfast was had. It was adequate with the biscuits being delish. The service... More

Lunch or dinner is special at the castle. The food is good as is the service. Definitely one of the top nice dining experiences in Natchez.

My wife and I chose this restaurant, for our "special" meal during a long 20th anniversary weekend in Natchez. The service was spot on, and the setting was perfect. Although the dishes had names that conjured wonderful thoughts, it was , in fact, 2 dimensional, at best. I started with the duck eggrolls and gumbo. I know that's what it... More

Excellent surroundings, excellent staff, memorable meals! Hubby loved his Tuesday Special - two smothered pork chops that fell off the bone, rice and gravy, and black-eyed peas. My Cajun Pasta with andouille sausage and shrimp in a cream sauce was wonderful and so large hubby forced himself to help me (smiling with every bite.) I know for a fact I... More

This was the 4th year in a row we have eaten at the Castle for our Saturday night anniversary meal. Every other year, we had been impressed and left satisfied. We have recommended this restaurant countless times before. But never again. Both the food and the service this year were awful. I had to ask to have my water refilled,... More

We have always dined well at the Castle, which I believe is the old stables at Dunleith. Warm welcome, reasonably efficient service, popular with locals. The food, with a New Orleans twist, has always been good.
