The best restaurant in Natchez

We were told the Castle is the best restaurant in Natchez by a local. Based on what we saw in Natchez, and the other places where we ate, I believe that. This isn't a matter of setting the bar low, it's just that the Castle really is a nice place. The building is unique. We went on a Monday... read more

This could have been a better experience if the waiting staff were more experienced and the kitchen able to cope with the demand on the night. I believe a wedding was being catered for in the adjoining Dunleith House. The wait for our order was far too long and the food was relatively bland for this price.

The Castle Restaurant is located behind the Dunleith historic home. in the 18th and 19th centuries, the Castle was used as a carriage house/stable and has wonderfully been re adapted. My daughter and I both ordered the Marinated Grilled Pork Tenderloins. The sauce was good, but the pork was tough. We also ordered grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. Both sides... More

Place is nice and unique. The day we went service was odd as there was no one at the front desk to get us seated even though there were only a hand full of diners. Service was good and fairly quick. Food is slightly pricey but it is good. The chicken Pasta is good and portion is just right.

We had excellent service on our night out. Food was not bad but didn't blow me away. We might consider going back if we have the time

Took my wife here for a date night while we were in town and i have to say we both really enjoyed it.The resturant was located on the grounds of an old plantation and had a nice Southern charm to it. Our waiter was extremely polite and had a good knowledge of the menu and was able to make some... More

We made reservations for the Castle a week ago and were really glad that we did since there was a long queue. The Dunleith house is not open to the public. Only guests of Dunleith or patrons of the Castle can tour Dunleith. The tour is extremely short (around 10-15 minute for Dunleith when most other house tours are closer... More

Food was good but a little to different for most taste, but filets were choice! Our waiter was sweet yet need more experience. Nothing would keep us from going back and our nephew and his wife stayed at the manor and dined there this past week. Said it was a great experience.

This was one of the topmost highlights of our Deep South tour. We're vegans, and the food was over the top. Quaint dining room (in the former carriage house of Dunleith Manor), although they gave the 1 window front table to someone else. By eating here, you get a complimentary tour of the main Dunleith guest house (closed to the... More

Loved the ambiance of the Castle even though the air conditioner blew cold air over us. I know the wait staff gets warm rushing around but it is very uncomfortable trying to eat your meal when your shivering. Thank goodness I had a shawl. Our waitress was very accommodating plus very knowledgeable about the Dunleith home next door where she... More
