My favorite meal in Mississippi

The ambiance is a bit country club but the food was delicious. Shrimp remoulade with devilled eggs and fried green PICKLED tomatoes. Charming Southern service. Run by the Pilgrimage Garden Club on the grounds of Stanton Hall.

Travelling with large group. We had buffet lunch. Almost ran out of some food by end of line AND workers emptied buffet quickly after end of line. Most could not have gone back for seconds, but food was good.

We had a rehearsal dinner at The Carriage House last Saturday and could not have been more pleased. The food was outstanding and our guests commented on it through the rest of the weekend. Thank you so much Chef Bingo and Mary! Y'all made a special day even more special!

My husband and I took a weekend getaway to Natchez. The restaurant is a perfect setting for a nicer than quick service lunch yet not too fancy and uptight. I really enjoyed our meal at The Carriage House. Service was a little slow in the beginning, but our food was served relatively quickly. I had a mint julep, which to... More

I had chicken livers and the salad. The salad was excellent. The livers dish was okay. The decor was not what I had expected. Looked more like a cafeteria dining room than a historic restaurant in a historic town.

Unfortunately, this review is not about their food. We had wanted to eat there, but we read different places in print/online that it was only open W-Sat, and we were leaving Wed am. I told this to a local shopkeeper, she made a phone call and assured me they would be open on Tuesday during Pilgrimage. We toured Stanton Hall... More

My partner and I chose to eat at the Carriage House will in Natchez for the Spring Pilgrimage tour of Homes, so glad we did. While we were first disappointed that the crispy pork skins with pimento cheese appetizer was no longer offered (despite being on the photo copied menu) we proceeded with our entree and adding a dessert instead... I've been eating here since childhood, but this last visit was the best ever!! Chef Bingo simplified and perfected the art of fine Southern Fare!! My dad lived the fried chicken, which they're known for; my husband lived the crispy pork shanks, and the best meal I had while in Natchez was the shrimp and grits!! The sauce was delicious!!... We were on a hunt for shrimp and grits and found a delicious lunch here. The shrimp were tender and sweet, the cheese grits prepared in a way the we had never had them before - almost like a very light corn bread square, but so light and fluffy. The spices were divine and we paired this with a mint... More
