The Carriage House was our introduction to Southern cuisine, and we found it delicious. We did Sunday brunch and the place had a certain charm of yesteryear. Some locals- including the local judge- really do dress up for brunch at the Carriage House. The restaurant is also set in the grounds of a fine old house. Considering the choice and... More

Found Carriage House on TripAdvisor and since we planned on seeing Stanton Hall anyway, decided we had to eat lunch there. It was THE BEST!! The atmosphere is of an elegant tea room, with impeccable yet friendly service. As soon as we sat down, the server brought us some biscuits and berry preserves - DELICIOUS! We decided to get the... This was my first meal in Natchez and it did not disappoint. As I was attending a meeting, dinner was a bit different than what they had offered on the menu. It consisted of a horseradish corn and shrimp salad followed by stuffed quail and finished off with bread pudding. The salad was very flavorful, but I would have liked... More

The best southern food you can find in Natchez. We accidentally entered thru a backdoor near the pool but were welcomed in by the staff. The staff...awesome! Well trained, attentive and friendly. Located at Stanton Hall so you can tour the house and have lunch. Definitely don't miss lunch at the Carriage House!

We made a reservation for lunch on Friday, but I think we would have been fine without one. This was my favorite meal in Natchez. Not only was everything we ordered delicious, but eating in the carriage house of a beautiful antebellum home (Dunleith) was an experience you just don't get every day. Even though it was casual, we felt... More

I've eaten here before but it had been many years. Loved it again - big dining room, bustling and busy. Very friendly wait-staff. I had to have the fried chicken, it's so good and the Carriage House is famous for it! Wonderful lunch and I'll definitely be back!

We stopped after touring Stanton Hall, it was a Sunday afternoon, and it was busy with the church crowd. The service was fairly prompt and there was a good variety of southern favorites including fried chicken and catfish, cheese grits, gumbo. The blackberry cobbler was one of my favorite dishes. A good value for $16, come hung.

We stopped at the Carriage House Restaurant at Stanton Hall during our own walking tour of the stately Natchez homes. We didn't have time to dine there, but we had heard about the delectable tiny biscuits. We were able to get a to-go order of a dozen. They were very good... so it is worth a stop. We did call... After touring Melrose Plantation, we decided to have lunch here. Beautiful property and grounds. Lovely restaurant. Good service, good food and a varied menu. Our waitress was very helpful and we had a good experience. We especially enjoyed seeing the pictures of the King and Queen of the Annual Tour. The tour of Stanton Hall was well presented by a... We used to dine at the Carriage House at least once a year and it was always a good dining experience for us. We stopped going several years ago. This week my husband and I drove from Lafayette to Natchez to see if the Carriage House was still the same. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was spotless with white... More
