Great tamales

Recommend the smothered tamales with chili, onion, and jalapeño. The fire and ice pickles were also a favorite. The knock you naked margarita was just the perfect accompaniment to cool some of the heat! Fun and funky place. Will return here if I'm back in town!

No trip to Natchez would be complete without stopping at Fat Mamas for a Knock You Naked Margarita! The food is excellent and they can ship you whatever you want to order!

My friend and I decided to try this place out on our last day in Natchez. Fat Mama's is not going to be on the top of our list of places to visit. We had the tamales and boudin. Both were delicious and well worth a visit.

Tried Fat Mama's for dinner. As this was my first visit, 6 tamales sounded like over kill (6 is the smallest offering for the tamales) so I opted for what was billed as one of their favorites, the Gringo Pie. This is 3 tamales with a healthy helping of chili poured over them. I wasn't disappointed with the selection. I... More

We consumed a big breakfast before we left Baton Rouge; this precipitated a late lunch (2:30) at Fat Mama’s Tamales. I had six tamales (the smallest number you can order) but they are not terribly large. They were very tasty! And with small, but noticeable, amount of spice. Joan ordered their taco soup. We both like our food and would... More

We HAVE to eat lunch here when we visit Natchez every October. The tamales are SO good! Can't do the margaritas anymore, but they're good, too. Be sure to get your sticker! I can eat a dozen tamales by myself! Yes, you stand in line to place your order, and you pick it up at the counter. The place is... More

One of the best frozen margaritas you'll ever have! Fun staff and great place to kick back with friends. Ask for Barbara Ruth. She is knows the area, people and enjoys meeting people. A great help!

Went in wasn't expecting to find it looking like a cheap and cheesy restaurant. Was very disappointed. Felt tamales tasted frozen and mushy and margaritas tasted like the ones u get in a convenient store. No one came behind the counter to help bring for big order and there were 3 employees there. Didn't leave a tip can't tip someone... More

We sat at our table a full 10 minutes before being told we had to stand in line to order. The food was average, but nothing special. The margaritas were good.

If you are looking for McDonald's style Mexican food, this place is for you. The gringo pie was basically chile with cornmeal posing as tamales with little spice or taste served lukewarm. The margaritas were overrated and the chips and salsa were better at the grocery store. When the best thing on the menu is hot and sweet pickles, you... More
