This place was recommended to us so we gave it a go. They serve up some awesome Tamales and very well priced.

The menu is limited, but the Gringo pie was a nice twist on tamales (covered with chili and cheese, onions & jalapeños). I unexpectedly enjoyed the fire and ice pickles.

The stop at Fat Mama's Tamales was nice, but not great. The atmosphere was nice. We ate outside and it was very nice. The tamales, however, were not spicy enough for me. I tend to like hot food, so they may be OK for most folks. In general, I would go back.

No waitress service, you order and pickup your food which was fine because we were looking for a quick place to eat. Nachos were okay. Tamales were slightly better.

Greasy chili over blah tamales...lackadaisical counter service. Not sure what the attraction was. Place was busy, but maybe after the knock you naked margaritas they hope you don't notice the food...

I really wanted to enjoy this place. It was recommended by one of my coworkers. I took my mom here during a short visit and neither of us were impressed. The tamales were ok. The nachos weren't very tasty and could have used way more cheese. My mom had a poboy and she said she didn't care to return for... More

Walk in and be dazzled with the color yellow and festive party style atmosphere. Good selection of ICY COLD beers and outstanding Margaritas! The food is just right and served up quick. Fat mama is behind the counter serving it up right! Eat here!

We had a really pleasant time at Fat Mama's. The margarita didn't knock anyone naked... that's good because we're all old and ugly... LOL but it was good... the food was good... the staff were pleasant... I really enjoyed the decorations... the colorfulness and the just generally relaxed atmosphere.

We ate here at the end of our Natchez Trace trip. This is a nice atmosphere with good food and fast service. Tamales are great, pickles are sweet and cold, the corn bread is ok, but the Taco Salad for some reason hit home for me. Good place to grab some casual grub
