Consistent & delicious

Consistent and fresh. We always order the Salmon with red curry & pumpkin. Never disappoints. Their Pad Thai equally tasty. Good service. NIce ambiance.

Overall, the food here was very good. I'd skip the fish cakes because they are leaden, deep fried patties with no dipping sauce. The slightly saucy cucumber salad wasn't enough. (However, they were "traditional.") The Green Chicken Curry was quite good with an adequate amount of spice. The chicken was perfectly cooked and still moist. The baby carrots in this... More

How many times you see a sigh that says authentic Thai and it tastes more like Chinese food. Nothing wrong with that, except I like the brilliant Thai food they sell. My favs are Kow Phad with Pineapple and Prik King. Most Americans usually go for Phad Thai which is delicious.

Small Thai restaurant in a strip mall. The food was okay, but not great. We shared the two barbeque dishes (chicken and pork) and eggplant entree. Soup was not spicy enough for our taste. This was the first Thai restaurant where rice was not included with the entree, but purchased separately. The chairs are wooden benches, without back support. A... More

Thep Lela seems to come in 3rd in ratings for best Thai Restaurant in Marin County, but it's always been my favorite! Always start-off with the Tom Ka Gai -coconut,chicken soup and it is simply lucious-best I've had and I've eaten Thai in Thailand over the years and all over the world. Thep Lela has wonderful dishes, but the waitress... More

Don't miss the Sushi Tuna appetizer and some of the more unusual dishes. Good value wine too. Our standby local night out. Great take-away too

My wife and I were expecting Americanised Thai food (along the unfortunate lines of Americanised Italian food) and having spent a good deal of time in Thailand over the last fifty years, we were hopeful but steeled to be disappointed. Much to our delight, Thep Lela was pleasing in every respect. Good authentic food, pleasant service, and modest prices. The... More

Back for third visit in a couple of years. Service was prompt and cordial. Meals where delivered quickly and tasted good and fresh. We had chicken pod thai and tofu yellow curry plus brown rice. No complaints. Restaurant is located in a pleasant area near the rear of the Strawberry shopping center. The ambiance is better than it sounds as... More

Marin County, the bedroom of San Francisco, is the location of this little, great value Thai cafe' in the Strawberry Shopping Center on the Tiburon side of Mill Valley. Entry level for Mill Valley homes starts at $1 mil. But not everything in this village is expensive. Chicken pad thai, ($12.95), fantastic flavor, noodles not over cooked with a compliment... More

Four days ago we had a great dinner, soup, can't remember what kind but it was great and a green curry chicken at Thep Lela, we ate there again as it was the only restaurant that didn't have an hour waiting list on Mother's Day evening! The sea bass was fantastic and the service efficient. While I probably won't go... More
