Had dinner here with a group of 4. We unanimously thought this place had OK food (tasty but not superb), but for the money we all expected more. One person ordered the 4 course meal and the entree (halibut) was the size of an appetizer- maybe 3 or 4 oz of fish! The corn soup was good, but not worth... More

We have frequented Frantoio Ristorante for several years. I have hosted corporate events; I have visited with colleagues, and I have shared several meals with my husband. But something marvelous has happened. There is a new chef in charge of the cuisine and the food has moved up several notches. We went with friends and I expected a basic meal,... More

Seasonal fresh food. I need to eat gluten free and the owner, who is usually the greeter, makes sure it is scrupulously prepared. They are local for me, and i have eaten there multiple times (take away and there) and I know they will not disappoint. As the gluten-free food choices are somewhat limited, maybe if I was eating any... More

I wish I could award 3.5 stars - better than Average, not quite Very Good. I want so much to like this place, but it's a mixed bag. First, it's in a nice location - not far across the Golden Gate Bridge, easy to find in peaceful Mill Valley. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, with subdued lighting, high ceilings,... More

Unprepossessing exterior, but really very pleasant inside. The server was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time. I enjoyed my meal in very pleasant surroundings. Very nice pasta dish. Would return.

A few years ago, this restaurant was known to have a nice decor, but average food. Now, the food is very much improved, and very tasty! We were all happy with our selections, varying from Pasta to Beef to Seafood. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. Our waiter gave us excellent service, and allowed us to linger and talk comfortably.... More

Our friends who have a houseboat in Sausalito took us to this excellent Italian restaurant for a Friday night dinner. The restaurant is cavernous, but was not too noisy despite being busy. The pasta dishes were excellent and the service excellent. The wine prices seem a little high for a restaurant of this ambience, but the cheapest $32 Italian red... More

Food is always delicious. Service is excellent. Very fast-paced restaurant, not quiet. Valet parking makes it simple.

This is where you come if you only have tolerance for Great Italian food! Focaccia & their own EVOO for dipping so delicious. Specials are always worthy choice if you can't decide. Risotto is always excellent. They are always changing the menu with the Season as it should be. Fresh and perfectly al dente! High end indeed! But when you... More
