A nice dinner

Frontoio is big, which means, come dinner time, it can be loud. Fortunately, if you ask ahead, there are a few hidden places that are quieter. So, my first recommendation, if you are traveling with people who have a hard time hearing, or if you are with a larger group and want to be able to hear... read more

Our dinner options were many and they all looked very interesting. I ended up with a gnocchi made with potato and spinach and served with a wine reduction sauce. It was divine. We had tiramisu for dessert, and while I have had many poor tiramisus in the past, this one was perfect. This restaurant is definitely worth a try.

We stayed at the adjacent Holiday Inn. After a whirlwind day of shopping and touring we didn't have the energy to go to a sit down restaurant. We ordered two pizzas from Frantoio. They were supposed to be ready in 20 minutes. We returned to pick them up in about 30 minutes and they were not ready, apparently the order... More

During a recent visit to the Bay Area, my Dad and I stopped here for a wonderful dinner. This is not the kind of Italian place where you'd expect to find spaghetti & meatballs. I tried the pork tenderloin on risotto and my dad had grilled salmon -- both were excellent. I'd also highly recommend the asparagus soup, which I... More

Great service, but the food was just average. The prices were a bit high, considering the food. Seems like a nice place--nicely decorated. Could be really great if food was improved

I have been to Frantoio's twice. Mauricio and Deborah provide the most amazing service you could hope for! I usually will not order lamb when I am out because when I do I always think, "I make it better at home". Mauricio told me I would love the lamb and I did! I can't make it THIS good at home!... Frantoio isa gem of a place, great food, good service and a beautiful setting. They host the Mill Valley Film Festival every year and are known fir their cuisine. You can sit at the bar or in the dining room. Ask for a raised banquette for a small group wanting a soecial evening!

I was staying at the adjacent Holiday Inn Express, needed dinner, heard this was okay, ate by myself. Frantoio is a HUGE place, tastefully done but still cold, not cozy. I was seated by a friendly woman, ordered a drink, which was served promptly. However the waiter seemed to be in a hurry to attend to other customers (of which... More

This place is amazing. The dining room with its huge olive oil press offers a perfect setting for great food. However, we love to eat at the bar so we can enjoy the service of Jason our favorite bartender

Part of the Hotel it is attached to it offers some of the best Italian food around. It is on the the grounds Holiday Inn Express but operated separately.
