Great Food - Better Service

Nice place to go for the cozy atmosphere and good food. Have even had a few office parties there! Staff is quick and accommodating.

This was a step back in time, like an old Boston men's dining club — high ceilings, leather, lots of polished wood, etc. Very charming atmosphere. Menu is interesting with several unique offerings, extensive and pricey wine list ($30 corkage!), fancy house libations…. Service was somewhat less than attentive, and on the aloof side of formal. Cocktails were excellent. Caesar... More

Service was impeccable and the meal was delicious. Only negative comment would be the noise level but quality of the food overrides it.

We went for dinner. We had reservations, but still had to wait. The place was so loud, we couldn't even have a conversation at the table. The food was interesting, but average. We visited a number of restaurants in the area, this was our least favorite. Wait time to get our check and to get our receipts took longer than... More

My wife and I visited the Buckeye Roadhouse over 20 years ago on one of our first dates following a hike in Muir Woods. We returned last month while on our summer vacation in northern California and were not disappointed. I had a lamb shank that was fantastic and my wife enjoyed her steak salad as well. Great atmosphere, top... More

This is not a roadside diner but a very good full service restaurant. Menu was very good making the choice of what to have a difficult one, and the food when served was very good. I had the petit filet mignon which was tender and well cooked. Portion sizes were just right leaving room for some excellent desert. The only... More

Throwback steak house with strong martinis, per my pal who drinks. Hunting lodge meets 60's bar atmosphere, literally on the sis of 101. Some views of the bay. Large steaks, salads are sort of throwback wedges, and good service. My one complaint would be some difficulty in parking, even though they do have a valet service, it can get crowded.... More

Stopped in on the way back from Muir Woods. Food and service were excellent. Cool atmosphere, outdoor tables too! Get the oyster appetizer - it's like oysters Rockefeller, rich. Also anything from the on site smoker - ribs were great!

Fun place to go, very nice ambience, good drinks, elegant settings, no happy hour. Great bartending. Good customer service.

Just the best - have to visit at least once every time we go to the area. Fabulous food, wine list, experienced and helpful wait staff and comfortable setting….
