What a find

Serindipity, it was serindipity. And thank goodness. While on business trips I occasionally try to get a day or two in on my own on the front end or back end of the trip. Life is just to planned and scheduled and once in a while, we need to be unplanned. After picking up he car in San Francisco... read more

We attended a rehearsal dinner here and were very impressed with the restaurant. The building and dining areas are very dramatic with cathedral ceilings and a loft. We chose from a limited menu, but the entrees were interesting and the service was impeccable.

Went with niece and her husband and his family. A lovely location in Marin County across the Golden Gate bridge. Since we went for lunch on a Sunday it was the perfect laid back and lazy place to have some excellent food with gorgeous weather to supplement the experience. All in all it has repeat value.

Hadn't been to Buckeye in years. What a great surprise. It's as good or better than ever. We were there for a family birthday celebration. They let us open our Billecarte Salmon Rose and several bottles of grand Cru white and red burgundies. Food was savory just as I remembered-- everything from steaks, short ribs, mashed taters, seafood, polenta, caesar... More

We stopped at this beautiful restaurant for a late lunch on our way down Route 1. The first impression is that you won't find a parking place. Don't fear! There is complimentary Valet parking and the Valet manager is one of the nicest guy's you'll ever meet. He gave us great tips for travelling in the area. When we entered... More

The Buckeye Roadhouse is clearly a favorite with locals in Mill Valley, Marin County. Offering a large and varied menu featuring both steaks and seafood, the Buckeye is a bustling place on two levels, so reservations are highly recommended. Despite the crowd, table conversation was at a comfortable level. Service was professional and the price reasonable enough. While not a... More

My wife and I had dinner here while staying in Sausalito and I had been looking forward to a nice steak. Unfortunately Outback would have been a better choice. The lodge atmosphere was nice but that's it. Although the wine list was extensive it was very pricey. My wedge salad looked like it was just thrown together and could have... More

We recently visited Sausalito on a girls weekend get away. My friend had eaten at Buckeye years ago and was excited to take us there for our last meal while on vacation. We made reservations for 3 that we ended up having to push back several times and add a 4th person. The restaurant was very accommodating and seating us... More

We had a wonderful dinner here with friends who recommended it. It's a cozy atmosphere and we are told the name is because there are chestnut trees in back of the restaurant (we confirmed this on our way out). Great wine list, impeccable service and a nice meal.

My wife and I were on our way back to San Francisco when we came upon the Buckeye Roadhouse and decided to stop for dinner. It looked nice from the outside so we quickly checked the reviews on TA and gave it a try. The valet was polite and welcoming. As we walked in, we saw the bar was buzzing... More
