Nice!

Stopped in on the way back from Muir Woods. Food and service were excellent. Cool atmosphere, outdoor tables too! Get the oyster appetizer - it's like oysters Rockefeller, rich. Also anything from the on site smoker - ribs were great!

Fun place to go, very nice ambience, good drinks, elegant settings, no happy hour. Great bartending. Good customer service.

Just the best - have to visit at least once every time we go to the area. Fabulous food, wine list, experienced and helpful wait staff and comfortable setting….

Great restaurant with lots of local history. Nice menu, including tapas like appetizers, kids favorites (burgers and wings) and hearty dishes, like brisket and mash potatoes. The flat iron steak was delicious. The service was fast, and attentive. We had a 7:45 reservation and were seated promptly. The food was excellent. Wish we had saved room for dessert, because they... I have been passing by the Buckeye along Hwy 101 for many years, Last night we decided to slow down and add a new restaurant. I had been hearing all these good comments about the restaurant, one topic I have heard on going about this place being a snooty Marin County place to be seen. First I want to say... More

Finally returned to the Buckeye after many years away and upon many recent recommendations. Sure glad I did - loved the warm, clubby interior as well as the friendly and efficient service. Families, couples, business folks were all enjoying the atmosphere (if it's possible to be relaxing yet semi-formal at the same time, that's how I'd describe Buckeye's vibe). The... More

This long-time Marin County restaurant is very attractive, has good food, and good service. It's an easy hop from the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge, and close to Highway 101. Worth a visit!

Had a 4:15 reservation and ww were seated promptly (3 adults and 2 children). For the $36.00 dollar price of the Ribeye steak it was very small. I was expecting a big, thick cut of meat and it was quite thin. Cooked to perfection and very tender but lacked seasoning I had to keep putting salt on it. It also... More

I guess I was expecting a real rustic roadhouse where one could through his peanut hulls on the floor. I was greatly mistaken, but not disappointed. My family of five stopped in here early evening for a nice meal, very upscale decor with a beautiful dining room, with warm woods, white table clothe, and a professional group of servers. We had... Went last night with another couple. Picked it based on 4.5 stars here and on other review sites. We had a mediocre meal. I had the chicken under a brick. Looked beautiful, tasted moist but bla! Ribs were not fall off the bone and were a bit dry with an ok sauce. Fries that came with ribs were great. All... More
