The photos for this place are the Toast in Novato off the Ignacio exit, whcih is excellent. The one in Mill Valley looks nothing like this and from what I hear, a much poorer food and ambiance experience.

One of my running buddies "requires" breakfast foods after our training runs. It doesn't matter if we're eating at noon- there has to be eggs or french toast or something on that order to begin her culinary day. Toast has tons of choices and there are always specials. We show up looking exactly how you'd expect after running 13 miles-... More

Entered restaurant to a loud ear-piercing child carrying on as though he was on the playground. Can't blame the restaurant when the oblivious mother is sitting right there. Making up for it was the very enthusiastic and helpful waiter. Answered all our questions. My husband ordered the ribeye steak with garlic fries. He loves garlic and these satisfied his garlic... Mill Valley residents often recommend Toast to visitors--I'm not sure why, Our breakfast was just okay. The bacon was almost burned, the over easy eggs were barely cooked, the scrambled eggs were overcooked, and the toast was not toasted. Why go out for such food?

Toast is a great little place to enjoy breakfast. The menu is extensive, something for every taste. Prices are pretty typical for Marin. I liked the many meat alternative options; I had the chicken apple sausage, roasted red pepper, and caramelized onion omelet, it was delish (and huge!) It was busy of course, on a Sunday late morning, so we... More

This is one of my favoured brunch stops in the mill valley area. Always busy and you invariably have to queue to get a table. Prices aren't low but you do always get a good consistent standard of food. The homemade soups are always really tasty. i enjoy the seared salmon on ciabatta, $12, but a lovely generous portion of... Went for brunch, ordered two sunny side up eggs, the florentine benedict, french toast, mickey mouse pancakes, oj and coffee. The benedict: come with burnt potatoe. The llandaise sauce tastes as if it were from a can. The egg itself tastes like vinegar. The muffin either was days old or crappy quality. Sunny side up eggs: there must be a... More

Talk about a California Cuisine place... The menu kept us undecided for quite a while! We wanted to try everything! You can have something sweet, savory, eggy, or meat filled... Prepared in creative and delicious ways. We waited about an hour for our table, on a late Saturday morning, and it was worth it. I'd go earlier next time or... More

Ate an adequate if uninspiring breakfast here. Nothing wrong with it but the service was a little unfriendly......

The food here is great and they are fast. I especially love the pancakes....oh divine! We've done to go and eat in and enjoyed the restaurant very much. Just a heads up though, the place is small which gives it a very homey feel, but it also means that you could wait awhile.
