We just happened upon this restaurant on Open Table, they had an early opening, and we just loved it. The food was excellent (tuna was amazing, their chicken, which they tout, was very good, but actually could have used more hot sauce, sorry!). Our server was personable and excellent and the cocktails were smash hits. The only downside was the... More

My wife and 2 yo child really enjoyed the service and, more importantly, the food at this establishment What a great find!

We have dined here a dozen times or more. The bar scene is always packed and lively. The atmosphere throughout the place is cozy and war. The food selections and proportions should fit anyone's tastes and appetite. (The fried chicken is superb) The service is prompt and solicitous. I would ask for the room with the fireplace where conversations are... More

This "new American", diverse menu, pretty high calorie outpost serves up quality dining in a elegant but lively venue. Service was great, wines good. Prices high but not unreasonable.

We have been to Bungalow 44 a handful of times and have never been disappointed. The food always exceeds our expectations - from the fried chicken to the steak to the burger everything is great! The bar area can get a little noisy but if you are lucky enough to sit in the side dining room the ambiance is great.... More

On warm evenings, cocktails waiting for table or friends is delightful at 2 fire pits outside the front door. Sitting in booths along the kitchen is fun or away from vibrant, bar noise in the back room w/fireplace - a perfect spot on warm evenings or rainy nights. "Starters": Soft Shelled Crabs on Arugula w/lovely Light Sauce...Next time getting my... More

This place is kind of a madhouse, but not a fun madhouse. It's kind of a sad, noisy place with lots of single people laughing way too hard and trying too hard to look cool. That's kind of rotten, I know, but if the food was better I might overlook the creepy-crawlies I get when I go here.

Mill Valley has no shortage of good places to eat. The Bungalow, however, is special. The menu is several cuts above. While occasionally adventurous, always local and fresh, the fare is reliably comfortable. The vibe is social. The service professional. A quieter table can be found in the annex by the fireplace. This a good place to entertain a friend,... More

My girlfriend and I recently visited this restaurant whilst on holiday in California after it was recommended by a local. We were pleased that it had a chef counter so asked to sit there, and were impressed with the speed and professionalism that we could see from those cooking on the other side! From the start, the service was always... More
