Reserved a table for 2:00 p.m.the place heaving, eventually got our meal at 3:00 p.m.four of us had different meals but the one common denominator was that they were all dried out and defiantly not fresh. When paying good money for a meal regardless of the number of customers in the restaraunte you do expect a decent meal at such a well... I had a guests come down to visit on business. I was recommended to take them for lunch at El Puerto. The expectation was exceeded with the staff providing an excellent service throughout, accompanied by the food which was exceptional. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Highly recommended.

Recently ate here with family members. I must say, what a great experience from start to finish. We had a drink at the well stocked bar before taking our seats at the table. I must admit the counter ordering system was a little different but definately helped me make my choice of food ... There was plenty!! My partner is... More

My husband and I took our 9 years old grandson for Sunday lunch and upon ordering we found that only certain meals were available for children. As our grandson wanted fish, I would have liked to have ordered the salmon but was told that was not possible so he ended up having 5 hake goujons (deep fried!). Also on the... More

We arrived to El Puerto, sitting outside on the beautiful veranda. You could not fault the appearance of the outside area looking over to the Bay. Comfortable outdoor furniture, parasols and flowers to decorate. The perfect setting for a summers day. I decided to order from the Main Menu, even though a lunch menu was avaliable. My first choice which... More

I've nearby for a few years and thought that it's time to try El Puerto at last. The location is lovely -overlooking the barrage in the sun. What spoilt atmosphere was the drunk 'wanna be's' who must have had an afternoon off work! This place seems to attract a certain crowd. Food wise - disappointing, steak was tough and tasteless.... Having had a great experience during a number of previous visits to this restaurant, it was disappointing to find out how bad it has now become. The once excellent food is now no more than adequate and the service is, at best, poor. We had booked for a party of 8, for early evening on Father's Day. When we went... More

I can't even put into words how bad the service is here. If anyone from El Puerto reads this (doubt they'd even care) your staff need serious training. Grumpy and rude, everything just seems too much trouble. We sat at our table and had to ask 3 times to be served drinks, when bringing the drinks to our table the... More

Went for a celebratory dinner for my 50th and my mother-in-laws 86th. Booked for a table of nine plus baby. They confirmed the day before but surprise when we arrived we are told "we don't have any high chairs ". From that point onwards everything we asked for was too much trouble. Miserable waiters and waitresses, had to ask for... More
