Try something else.

Looked on the outside like a local restaurant with a history. Looks on the inside like an old, bland diner. Service was mediocre at best. I had the indian tacos, my husband had a buffalo burger and neither one of us were even remotely impressed. The flatbread was good, but it sat in the center of a... read more

We stopped in the Railhead for breakfast before Mt. Rushmore, and never have I seen such a disorganized place/staff. They serve a buffet breakfast which was fine (not great) but we had to ask for silverware, coffee, water, and every request was met with confusion. Meanwhile, customers around us were yelling at the staff and wandering around looking for their... More

This restaurant has a fabulous and convenient location in an historical building on prominent corner just as you enter town. It is across the street from the little railway that takes patrons on a 2-hour trip of the region. The waitstaff is abysmal. They are inattentive and slovenly. This is promoted as a "family restaurant" but there are no breakfast... More

Our waiter brought our food and never saw him again (we sat on the outside dining area). We had to hail another waitress to track him down to get our check. And he forgot to take off the 10% discount we had. Didn't seem like he was very experienced. Other waitresses were out and about but observed that they too... More

Have to admit that I started reading reviews AFTER we had been seated so we were somewhat apprehensive. The waiter was very attentive and food was very good! I would definitely eat there again!

My husband and I decided to have an early lunch at what we thought would be a decent resturant on July 5th, but it turned out to be a "tip your waiter at his convenience day". After our meal we were handed the receipt/bill, which totaled $23.36, we decided to leave cash for a tip and wrote "cash" on the... More

It is possible we just happened to go on a bad day, but our experience here was a bad one from start to finish. We were drawn to the restaurant because it looked clean and casual inside, it had a cute train theme, and we were looking forward to a quick bite while in Keystone. The first red flag was... More

Claimed to have a new cook. They shouldn't have hired him! Onion ring were extremely oily, and burnt! My wife had a "chicken salad" Not very good at all. We should have guessed it was bad due to the lack of customers at 5 PM.

Small and interesting. The food was plentiful and delicious. We would definitely pick this restaurant over the one across the street. We ate there also and it was not as good. The wait staff. smiled.
