FIne for breakfast, not for dinner

Breakfast is buffet or menu order. It's OK. Dinner was disappointing. Among limited choices, I had roast beef with congealed gravy and in instant mashed potatoes.

Good breakfast and great service. Interesting take on eggs benedict with southern style gravy that I enjoyed. Worth the stop.

The Railhead has new management with a new Executive Chef for 2015. What a difference! Last year the food was horrible so this is a big change. Nice simple menu with good selections. My meal was great. The new Chef came out and introduced himself and was very nice. I will eat here again as long as that new chef... More

Home cooked/affordable food. I had fried pickles for appetizer, portabella mushroom sandwich with an awesome garlic aioli sauce, excellent iced tea (I love good iced tea with a good meal), and bread pudding with a bourbon sauce. My fellow diners had prime rib, catfish and burgers. All of it Delicious! Can't wait to go back.

We stopped in the Railhead for a bite of lunch during a tour of the Mt. Rushmore area. Service was friendly and quite attractive, and the ambiance of a 1950s diner is delightful. The food isn't five star quality, but this isn't that kind of restaurant. It is a menu of simple dishes from a family establishment, and thats perfectly... More

Stopped here for lunch on our vacation to Mount Rushmore. Service was good. No complaints. Good for a quick bite. Would come here again.

I decided on this restaurant for one simple reason - it was open. The staff were really friendly and can't be knocked at all, and the food isn't bad. The buffet was basic and I would have expected a tad more choice (and it to be warmer) for the money $9.99 if I remember correctly. At least the coffee was... More

The only good thing about this visit was a friendly waiter. The food was salty and gross, canned, heated-up slop. The salad bar was chintzy and the lettuce was white. Like what's the point of a salad like this? The Railhouse has a prominent corner location, but don't be deceived. Move on and find something else in Keystone, like Whistleberries,... More

Greeted at the door with ambivalence. Got iced tea which tastes like it was instant or stale. My grilled chicken sandwich was tough. Hard to cut with a knife and impossible to eat as a sandwich. Meager tomato slice was almost white, not red. Special honey mustard sauce was prepackaged stuff. Had to ask twice for catsup. Looked at the... More

Service was slow and the waiter seemed to think it was a lot to expect him to actually take and deliver our order. The food was luke warm and not very good-grilled cheese sandwich grossly undercooked. Breakfast buffet was not hot, coffee refills non existent. Would certainly not go back with or without a coupon. Overpriced as well
