Off season - bad experience

Granted I went in January, but the kitchen was closed at 7:40 at night. I paid nine bucks for a microwaved pizza that was terrible. Staff were kinda nice bit were not at all interested in doing anything extra.

Keystone is a ghost town in February. So we headed over to Barlees, the only open place in town. Nice comfy atmosphere, it was log cabin meets sports bar. "Elley" instructed us to sit anywhere. Drinks were offered and brought in a jiffy. My diet is Paleo, and Elley had no problem substituting my potato with sautéed veggies. I ordered... More

One of the few places open in the evening in the winter in Keystone. Very overworked bartender trying to take dinner orders and keep everyone's drinks straight. Like other reviewers have stated, out of most sides, my chicken was burnt/reheated, and so tough I could barely cut through the outside skin to get to the dry meat inside. "Homemade" fries... More

After a long day of sightseeing and most places have stopped serving food I was told to go to BaRLee's. I went in and they also stopped serving food. I was starving because I have not eaten all day. I pleaded with the waiteress and she talked to the bartender Joey and he said that they would make ma a... More

We also were there during the offseason, visited 3 times during our stay there, food was excellent, prices were reasonable and service was prompt and friendly. Our favorite meal was the smoked Barbecued Ribs, to Die for! The dining room was not a suit and tie place , just right for a family on vacation. The bartender/waitress was the best... More

Stayed next door at the Holiday Inn during the "down season" (December). This was the only place in town serving food or drink. Luckily for us, it's a nice spot. Friendly staff. It's not the fanciest place - its a bar. But, the food was pretty decent. If I go back, I wouldn't hesitate to stop back in for a... More

Enjoyed the place. It was the only place open on a Monday night in December. More bar than restaurant in the off season. Waitress was very nice. My reuben sandwich was good. Nice place.

We decided to have one of our evening meals at BaRLee's during a two day stopover in Keystone, and being English I decided to try the fish and chips. It was not a wise choice. I have rarely had such poor food: The fish was very dry, to the point of being desiccated in places and it had the appearance... More

We made our second visit in as many months, and once again were perplexed by the service. The food was great once again--at our table we had the reuben, chips, corn chowder and fish and chips. All were EXCELLENT. Soup had just enough kick and was clearly homemade, fish was fresh and my reuben was really tasty. We ate in... More
