Homemade food

We had lunch at this restaurant. Service was good but somewhat slow(place was half empty). Taste OK but two people in our party did have some discomfort after eating there.

Our waitress was polite enough, but English was clearly not her first language and there was a bit of a language barrier. She took our orders and we told her we were down a set of silverware. Food came, still no silverware. We call it to her attention and she nods ok, then promptly leaves to take an order at... More

Busy and best breakfast spot in Keystone of the 3 places we ate breakfast. We found Hill City Cafe to be the best on our way out of town.

The 5 of us spent over $100 on a below average dinner. The table was sticky and the chairs straight out of a cheap 70's movie. Very uncomfortable, no flair. The sign says "Home cooking". Nope, not even close!

We stopped in for an early dinner. Order the spaghetti special, cold, when we complained, it was promptly removed. Replacement was warm, but not hot, to be home made cuisine, but tasteless. Waitress was polite.

This is a great place to eat. Yummy food, but as it would be in ANY tourist location, it is expensive. It was $70 (with a tip) for a family of 5 to have breakfast. The service was great and the food was the best in town, for breakfast anyway.

Stopped by this place after visiting Mt Rushmore for breakfast. They were not that busy so we got seated right away and were handed menus...No one ever came to take our order, not even our beverage order...They were clearing tables all around us but never acknowledged our presence...After being ignored for a good 15-20 mins, we walked out...Very disappointing.

Young kids trying to do everything and all at once. Slow. Coffee gone, food not here yet. Where are the grownups? Teens shouldn't be in charge of a morning rush unless they know what they're doing.

It looks a little less classy than some of the other places we passed, but it was recommended to us. The wait was a little longer than we prefer, but not horrible. The food and prices made up for it. I would go out of my way to stop here again if I was in the area.

The staff was friendly and inviting. The place was clean but I didn't use the washrooms, so can't comment there.... We stopped for a late supper. The food was ok but nothing special. I ordered a hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. The food temp was lukewarm. The presentation of the food was lacking. Maybe some vegetables would have been... More
