Good place for lunch

The monument is not near any major city so most people eat at the café. The food is good with a nice selection for families with children. The prices are average that you would expect to pay at a tourist attraction. Nice place to eat before or after touring the monument.

Stopped in for coffee. It was about lunch time so very packed. Looked very efficient. Served many things, sandwiches, salad, soup, burgers. Try to get there a little bit before lunch or after it's been hit. Lots of travelers from all over the world!

This was great to have at Mt. Rushmore. Between seeing the monument during the day and waiting for nightfall to see the ceremony at night, we grabbed a bite to eat here at Carvers. It wasn't fancy, but it was decent food and drinks at a reasonable price. You could either sit outside or inside and outside offered beautiful views... More

Okay, I admit that we've watched North by Northwest too many times. We were hoping the restaurant depicted in the film was really there... and maybe it was 50 years ago. Meanwhile they have built nice new shops near the monument and the Carver's Cafe is located in one of the buildings. Big glass windows allow you to sit and... More

Carvers Café is the only place to dine on site at the Mount Rushmore. Designed for diners to enjoy a fantastic view of Gutzon Borglum's national monument through its huge facing windows, this unique place is where can you dine with four presidents looking down onto your table. The Café provides visitors with a mid-priced hot and cold fast food... More

The view at Carvers was beautiful. Anywhere you sit indoors in the restaurant you are able to view Mount Rushmore. They also have patio seating. The food consists of fast food, a bit overpriced. It is not a full service restaurant. Very clean facility with clean restrooms just down the hall within the restaurant.

We enjoyed both lunch and dinner here. It is cafeteria style dining but the food is very good, the prices are reasonable and the service was just fine. We had bison burgers for lunch and then bison stew for dinner. Both selections were delicious. We also liked the ice cream: Thomas Jefferson's recipe for vanilla. The menu would suit anyone's... This is a great place to have excellent food at very inexpensive prices! Come during the day and eat while you are looking at Mount Rushmore and the stay for the night program!

The food is good, but nothing special. This is your only food option at Mt. Rushmore in the off-season. It's cafeteria style and clean. What really makes it is the panoramic view of the Memorial as you eat. We had dinner and breakfast here.

The service was good and had a buffalo hot dog which was good for lunch. Also had dinner there on another day which was good. People helpful and kind in answering your questions. Clean tables and met nice people.
