An Upscale Dinner

We stopped at Alexander's for dinner during our visit to Mt. Rainier National Park. The restaurant is attached to an inn that seemed like one of the more upscale choices in the area. The dining room is nicely appointed, with wooden booths and historical photos. The food was good. We ordered the... read more

We ate here for dinner and breakfast on our stay at the hotel. The service was good, and loved the extra touch of the chef personally stopping by each table to make sure everything was to your liking. I was a bit nervous at first when my steak didn't come with a true steak knife, but it wasn't needed as... More

Intimate, quiet atmosphere with employees from wait staff and kitchen who deliver great service and amazingly tasty entree's for breakfast and dinner. This definitely is not a place to dine if you are in a hurry. However, if you are, they also serve up pre-ordered boxed breakfast and lunch items. They really have thought of everything to accommodate their guests.

There aren't a whole lot of restaurants in the area where you can have a decent meal. Most establishments cater to the burger/fry, sandwhich/soup group. The dining room is quaint enough, service was good, but I wouldn't classify this place as being fine dining. It's ordinary food with and extraordinary price tag. But what can you do? You are, after... More

Dinner was decent. The best restaurant within 10 miles. The staff was VERY friendly and great. Food could have been a little better... but overall good value for the money

My boyfriend and I ate at Alexander's while we were staying at the inn. For the quality of the food and the quality of the wine, the price was outstanding. I couldn't believe it when I got the final bill -- for two appetizers, a bottle of high-quality local wine, two entrees and two desserts, our check came out to... More

Highly recommended as the most upscale dining in the area. After a long drive, we were looking for a enjoyable dinner without being rushed. We were 15 minutes early before they opened but were gladly seated right away. Our server was friendly and efficient. Their house garden salad was deliciously filled with greens, dried cherries, candied walnuts, and Gruyere slices... More

Great food. Great bed and breakfast. We stayed in the turret room. It was unseasonably hot, so it was quite warm in the restaurant and rooms. There is no AC. Not their fault - just an FYI.

Alexander's is a great B&B. Very cozy rooms and the restaurant is very good. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit and juice. Location is very close to the entrance to Mt. Rainier, just a short drive. The inn also has a quiet area in back with tables and fish pond. Was very tranquil and we would recommend a visit.

We have eaten at this restaurant a number of times over the years, and it is nice that it has been consistently good across the years. The food is excellent and the service has always been attentive and good. It is certainly one of the very best places to eat near Mt. Rainier National Park.
